The Beaumont Nissan Build Thread.
Ok Beaumont is small and I'm 90% sure we only have 2 members from here so being that theyre just 2 cars I'll do 1 thread for both cars. First up...
370Z
This was our starting point

Now he just got these in so we will go back and do more test fitting.
240sx
Has this
and is back to square one after having another incident with the frame of the car being messed up from a head on collision done by previous owner.
Work wheels and more 326 power parts will be on the way soon for the S14
*****************************************************************
The 370 has kit on the way and I'll upload more shots of test fitting the wheels this weekend.
S14 will be torn apart and Ill be switching to another shell.

That's gonna need some body work to accomplish though.

that will definitely fit on the 370z, you will need a slight pull, but nothing to crazy, the body lines should definitely still be there. It looks like the wheel is being raised by a jack, and if it is then when you drop it on the cup kit, more camber should naturally be added, and if you go with a camber kit you can add even more camber to it. I can see great things with that car LOL

It's gonna be interesting to see how you make those wheels fit. I hope you don't do a texas pull on those fenders.

I did widebody when i had my 350Z and was very disappointed with the outcome.
I wanted a much more extreme look then and now.
Only difference now is that I know bodywork does not need to be done to fit them.
Last time I didn't do my research and listened to other people and ended up very unhappy with the results

i have no doubt it will because I have proper backspacing for the negative camber and I'm having RUCA's fabricated and I have every arm spl offers for the rear so there is no question whatsoever in my mind!

You'll prolly see it before I do lorl! They are s'posed to start on the rear tomorrow.
As far as the demon camber that's what I wanted when I had my silver 350 but I didn't know what needed to be done then.

what's "out of the box" about this? it's the same thing everyone else is doin to an extreme degree.
the front camber looks very aggressive. had the rear been matched to the front it would have been a good look. the average car body eats up a 10-15mm wider rear fitment. with a 60mm fitment stagger you are looking at a couple extra inches that have to be cambered out. without bodywork this is bad spec selection, it's obvious he just bought the least aggressive "deep rim" spec and then tried to match a front wheel from the regular spec line. would have been better off doing a 12 -65/-81 stagger.
if you look at the japanese oni-camber cars you'll notice they generally have matching 4 wheel camber. it's already a look that most consider ridiculous, but when you have a contrast between the camber of the front and rear it looks poorly executed imo.
only solutions i see are:
- widen the rear body 45mm and even out the camber (rear matched to front)
- 45mm spacers up front and modify the suspension (front matched to rear)
- move the rear wheel up front and buy the 12 -81 then match camber

I wanna make a constructive suggestion, to the 370z guy.
most of my examples are not 350/370 but is good info to give you an idea what it takes to fit wheels that big without having stupid camber which we all know looks stupid.
if you want to fit massive wheels like those, you need to be ready and willing to do fender modifications,
you have 3 options:
1- You do a really good pull on those fenders till its pretty much flattened out, stretching them over the edge of the tires basically.
2- have a good metal worker cut the metal fenders and widen by an inch and half.
3- make custom flares for the rear out of metal or fiberglass..you will have to cut a strip of at least an inch of the metal fender out to modl thos on and fit correctly.
if you get an experienced puller you may have a clean job..
the second and 3rd options will require some paint work after and some bondo/fiberglass smoothing out.

thats a 240sx with bn blister kit, the wheels would still have stuck out on the sides so he had custom flares made.on top of the fenders to accomodate the wheels
heres another example of bolted on flares: but unless you do a body kit and agressive look you may not like this. dont think its only for a drift style car though I have seen many VIP cars in japan using overs usually molded on though.
here is my s14 with wheels almost the size of the ones your doing, they had about 170 mm of lip i believe yours had 190?
and I had custom rears modified to flare out over the stock body It never got finished(below the fender) due to an accident. but you get the idea.my rears 19x12-46 with a 7" lip

and my fronts which had 5.5 inches of lip, and i had the front metal fenders cut and expanded by a little over an inch to fit them.

to fit that size wheel and look good doing it, you will definitley need to cut in or really pull the rear fender..running around with -20 camber is gonna look silly, and liek someone is trying to hard..do it the right way since you got some of the sickest wheels available to mankind..
I came to this thread because I am about to order the super deep ss ordens in 200mm lip so figured i can check your thread and learn a bit from your work, see how the smaller fronts look with the larger rears and decide if its worth it. I hope you figure this all out, and make it work, I am here to help if you need any advice.

3- make custom flares for the rear out of metal or fiberglass..you will have to cut a strip of at least an inch of the metal fender out to modl thos on and fit correctly.
if you get an experienced puller you may have a clean job..
the second and 3rd options will require some paint work after and some bondo/fiberglass smoothing out.

thats a 240sx with bn blister kit, the wheels would still have stuck out on the sides so he had custom flares made.on top of the fenders to accomodate the wheels
heres another example of bolted on flares: but unless you do a body kit and agressive look you may not like this. dont think its only for a drift style car though I have seen many VIP cars in japan using overs usually molded on though.

here is my s14 with wheels almost the size of the ones your doing, they had about 170 mm of lip i believe yours had 190?

the camber shall remain uber, that's what the owner wants. i probably wouldn't take on this project for just anybody but celestak is ready to go in on a level that makes the build worthwhile to me. this car will rock a lot of custom suspension and bodywork to pull the look off (fenders will be radiused and reshaped, not widened). it's a risky move for og, this car is gaurenteed to receive a lot of hate, but our goal is to execute so well that even if you don't appreciate the look you have to respect the build.

^uber camber is fine in my book, glad to see the owner has accepted that the fenders will at least need to be touched. i personally think itll come out awesome...one lingering question tho...is OG gonna rattle can?!

s'all good man, and yea as stated i personally love how it looks with all that camber, so im all for a radius to get it lower...
@ OG.... to me, radiusing to get lower is just as much about fitment as it is cosmetic..sure the wheels fit behind the fenders with all camber no metal work..but did it give him the exact fitment he wanted? I'd say no since hes doing the metal work in the end.
regardless..really looking forward to this build

I actually think the biggest problem with this build is the paint color of the car lol, hopefully he plans on re-painting it.
I honestly think yellow is the ugliest color for any car even ferraris. and it its going to be VIP style then it definitly needs some royal darker colors for a luxurious look.
looking forward to some updates pictures anything.!
And cant wait for the Aero to arrive for the S14, it's going to be so pimp!

imo, radiusing is a ride height modification.
either way, that's not the body work that was being referred to. not sure how much the owner wants to say so i'll leave it at that.
the car will be picked up this week and shipped to cali to be an r&d car for pbm. return to the garage is questionable.

Yes. Pretty much it slips between the body and the seal and pulls the seal up allowing you to paint under it. Its some pretty nifty stuff. If im not explaining it well i can post a pic of it.
