My first VIP project ...

What up guys,

Always been a big fan of VIP'd out cars, never got a chance until recently that I picked up a VIP platform vehicle.

Decided to pick up a 93' Lexus LS400, its original intent was to use it as a daily driver, now it's at TNT Auto Body in Sacramento getting a complete make over. :)

Heres how it sat when I first picked it up:

Completely stock, unmolested. Until now ...

Then a week later:

Got the Wed Kranze Ratzingers from a good friend of mine, I know it needs a drop bad!

Then 3rd week into owning the car, I decided to do a complete paint:

More updates as car nears completion. Still searching for the perfect color. I got new taillights, new headlights for a retrofit, curtains, coilovers, and other small goodies coming.

I think i'm trying to do this project TOO fast ... :signdammit: Any insight or advice would be much appreciated!

You movin pretty fast there, make sure you do all the fender mods that you may need in future before the paint. Almost positive there shouldn't be a hole in the back glass. Later.

Monard right? Yep same guy :) on g35driver. I still got the G35, but after this season its going into retirement.

I wasn't going to do fender mods, but now come to think of it I will probably do some :) Possibly a vent or something haha

I'm not running anything at the moment, will be getting some coilovers for this car before its out of the shop. I had UAS w/ tokicos on my G35 and I miss the ride feel of a coilover.

yeah still have the G but im looking around for a 98-00 ls 400 but i really want a 460=)

This was taken Tuesday of this week. Anticipated this to be done in 2 weeks, but we've received so many cars in the past week we're slammed. My own car is the last priority at the shop right now :)

In the meantime, me and my buddy decided to do a projector retrofit in some clear lense headlights I ordered.

This isn't the first time i've done a projector retrofit, just first time for the LS400. It turned out great and it really did not take all that long.

Looks like a great bulid so far I have the same plaform and I have been up and down about the direction to go you have given me some great ideas. Cnat wait to see the out come.

Car almost complete, just need to put rear windows and all door panels back on. Custom front bumper is almost complete.

midnight purple? if yes it will be SICKK!, actually any dark purple is pretty nice:)

There is a pearl in there, the custom front is primered and ready to spray sometime this coming week. I'm hoping to take the car out this coming weekend when my coilovers come.

I still have to install my double din, my JP stuff, tint, and my jdm visors.

I will be doing the interior in the winter time :).

Here's a slight update, been really busy at the shop so haven't had much time to work on my own car. My front bumper should be sprayed and ready to put on tomorrow as well as my headlights. I stayed a little later to get it wet-sanded and buffed along with a nice wash :).

Still have plenty of goodies to slap on before its ready for the street, coilovers on the way for MOAR low!
