hey guys, I have a fgdy33 1997 Nissan Cima, I need to replace the steering rack bush's and want to replace with somthing like some polyurethane ones, Although cant find any for a nissan cima, does anyone know if there Is another nissan which uses the same bushs? 240sx/r32/r33 or similar?

I still got the Polyurethane ones I had in my S13 I've been meanin to put on my Y33. This gives me a good reason to get under there and swap em out, to confirm they fit. I'll do it today, and let you know later if they work or not. Just by eye ballin em, they look like they should work

Basically. they ARE NOT the same size
If ya check out the 2nd and 3rd pics, you can tell the S13's are smaller, especially the driver's side ones
After workin em in, there's a gap in em, and they dont completely close up
being i needed new bushings also, I went ahead and left em in, the gap doesn't bother me, and i tried positioning it so the opening on the bushings, matches the opening on the brackets. The last pic shows this really clearly

I'd say there are a few choices
a) See if any other's are larger maybe a different S chassis, or other Z or R chassis cars
b) See what's offered in Japan, they have more variations of Y33 chassis
c) If you NEED bushings, and wanna go urethane, S13's are an ok fit, they aint perfect but they get by LOL

Hate to bump a REALLY old thread, but...

I need to replace my bushings. Would love to upgrade to poly bushings. Brokey33... how did the S13 bushings work out for you?

nah its koo. imo its better to bump old threads than havin a bunch of similar threads all over the place.mine have held up great. i just took the front subframe off for some other work im doin to the car, and everythings still great when i unbolted the steering rack
