ok so yesterday i got my wheels on. Falken Koblenz 19x8.5 +25 and 19x10.5 +10. i didnt like the way they looked stock height. so about an hour later i roll over to a shop and we were thinkin bout hackin my springs when we found that S14 springs looked very very similar. so we figured hey what the hell lets try it. let me know what you guys think. ill release the info on which brand springs i used if all rides well. so far its awsome on stock struts.

Re: Alternative to Tein Springs PICS INSIDE!
looks good but those stock shocks probably have less then 1in of travel. Planning to put an adapter in the front?

Re: Alternative to Tein Springs PICS INSIDE!
gonna throw some 25mm spacers on the fronts cus i rolled them out. actually i have more than an inch of travel surprisingly. so far it looks lower than the tein drop, and the ride i would imagine to be awsome with some kyb SR specials. i cant wait to see how these springs will settle, it will be burried

Re: Alternative to Tein Springs PICS INSIDE!
isn't the s14 much lighter than the y33 ?
I don't see how it can ride comfortably especially with such a drop and such a different spring rate.
Keep us updated please.

Re: Alternative to Tein Springs PICS INSIDE!
Look's like RSR or SPRINT/espiler. those are the ones that give the lowest/stiffest drop off s-chassis, or it's stock springs! LOL

Nice looks like a great alternative just wonder how it would be with better shock/struts. ;)

Re: Alternative to Tein Springs PICS INSIDE!
that is a great drop (visually) but the ride must surely suck. I can't imagine how the ride can be good with springs made for a car that is 1000 lbs lighter.

the ride is actually nice, surprisingly. you figure its 1000lbs more but when you break it down thats 250lbs per corner which isnt much. BTW they are the tanabe DF210 springs. i've driven with a carfull of people and it still rides pretty nice, if i hit a large bump it will hit bumpstops but that hardly happens

Looks very nice. It's definately lower than my Tein S-techs. Looks like it has coilovers.

I've been crazy busy with work/school/etc. I'll hopefully be installing them this week...wednesday. I'll report the results back to the community asap.
