The original post states that there are oxidation of the faces, i think he's referring to that area around the centercap

Looks like stepped lips. One could buy new front and rear barrels and turn them into full reverse 19's. If it was financially viable, I'd be all over these.
Bump for one of the classiest wheels of all time.

If you find the proper barrels (size you want & number of holes) at a good price, not expensive at all... that's another option.

Is it typical of these Leons for the clear coat to peel and the alum. to oxidize like this, I've seen a few with similar issues. Later.

Kinda crazy price. They're running deals on brand new ordens for $2950.
If you were to refinish them, new barrels (at 500/lip as per the quotes of the guys here) you're looking at around 4 grand total... just get some new ones at that point.
Nice wheel, but price is completely outrageous. GLWS

if true, that sounds like a good deal considering the current weak exchange rate of the US dollar against the Yen and probably fit for those that dont mind waiting months before getting them. thanks for the input. My set will work for those that dont need to re-barrel them or those that can get better price than $500/wheel(which i hope no one actually pays that much for to recondition/rebarrel this set). i contacted ralph Wright and was quoted $250 each for a new step lip, maybe you can just re-lip the 8.5 to something wider and put the 9.5" in the front.

Really? 250 for the whole wheel?
He'll re barrel it to 19" specs for 250/wheel? If so that's a lot better! if it's 250/lip and 500/wheel, that's what I meant by 500/lip, sorry I spoke incorrectly. I was quoted 250/lip 500/wheel
and sorry for sh*tting on your thread, i didn't mean to.
