To everyone living low life
Just want to recognize everyone out there who make sacrifices to ride slammed.
I haven't driven a lowered car in quite sometime and its fucking stressful. With in the past wk i manage to pull my front fenders out, take out reflectors ,slow down traffic to a stop and strengthen my gluts.
With that being said i lowered the car another half inch! i love it:)

Lol... thnks. Where's my trophy??
Seriously tho, since I've got on this lifestyle I got other drivers passing me on one lane roads honking their horns, almost got rear ended a couple of times due to almost coming to complete stops at train tracks and the likes, and my front bumper's all scraped up... oh, does your body clench up when you think you're going to bottom out and then it doesnt happen? lol... very very stressful man.

I don't slow down for train tracks, I jump them. Seriously, I discovered it's actually so much smoother to just hit them at speed. Suspension doesn't really have the time to react to every bump, so you skate over them. The first time I did it, it was somewhat of a shock haha.
Of course you still gotta angle for speedbumps, driveways, dips, etc.

If you do this make sure you have enough tire pressure so it doesn't get pinched and the track meets the lip of the rim causing bends and scratches..

I keep them near max recommended PSI.
Seriously, I always slowed down before, but these piece of shit custom coils I'm currently on make so much noise (well, not really that much), it drives me nuts, so I have taken to just beating them to death and have been surprised how well I can go over stuff without slowing down much. I still slow a bit on some things, but there are 2 sets of tracks I go over on my way to/from work and one is worse than the other, but in all reality, I can pretty much go over them the speed limit and it's much smoother than slowing down and feeling every bump and rock.
I'm not slammed, but for static height, I'm pretty low.

Better to hit stuff accelerating than decelerating, regardless of speed.

Yeap, and after the front wheels are over the "obstacle" then tap the brakes to get rear over as well.

When your car drags over tracks, it's not wise to go fast over them!
I'm from Boston and I drive slammed daily which is hard enough. Try doing it in new york though!

Yah, I'm curious to see what some of you consider driving low. I've gone through several sets of tires just this year, an oil pan, separated exhaust, and countless hours of making sure that I can keep driving this way. It's addictive, what I consider high, others consider low.

Agreed. Three finger clearance or lower, from the subframe or lowest non-relocatable point is low to me

I consider my car, which scrapes every speed bump I've encountered with it, to be low. I can fit about 4 fingers under my exhaust which was redone with added ground clearance. My pipes have yellow paint all along them from my parking lot speed bumps. And they're not even "big" speed bumps.
Of course I'll never be "hardcore" enough to satisfy some people on here, but I really don't care, I do my car to satisfy myself.
However, when my psMAX coils ever get here and on my car, I will go about 1" lower at most and then I'm done. If I can't get in and out of my driveway, my car serves no purpose for me. And there's no way in hell I'd leave it on the street (let alone if I could find a spot to begin with).

SHITS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY LOWER!
I drive a good 1/2 inch lower than that now for what it's worth:
I show about a pinky's with worth of front side wall on the 19's (which I'd like to close up completely) and the entire lip is tucked on my rear 20's...at least on a full tank of gas anyways, lol. I can hear the rears beating up her inner 1/4's when angling in/out of places...probably a good time to look into some tubage and MOAR LOW.
damn, i gotta get some updated pics for the community.

So three fingers (about 2 1/2") is probably as low as anybody wants to go if your static without serious damage. Later.

That's about the only reason I want air... to clear obstacles, especially to get my car up on my driveway without the scraping nd my cringing... I feel like I'm flushing $1000 down the toilet every time I scrape my exhaust, lol. Other than that I love my coilovers.

its now to the point - know one is really happy with a low parked car - driving low is the mission - for me brokey set the bar for y33's even though he is on 18's and not kitted and then of course the japanese scene
ride low park a little lower

Broke has been a huge inspiration for me too. I think we should get a thread going where we can show a pic and measurement of our subframe to ground clearance, see who is truly dumped.

For me agi set the bar. I have never seen an air'd up picture of his car through out all of its stages. In the very beginning stages when he was on springs and had those crazy dukes was the highest i saw the car. Brokey's y33 also is on the top of my list. The fact hes on coils is crazy to me. And after watching a few liberty videos i like there cars even more.
I use to roll low on coils before and i literally couldnt go to many places. I would have to park hella far away sometimes. It sucked. I know i have hydros now but i still drive as low as possible.I like the adjust ability i have. I only raise the car when i absolutely need too . Havent even had the car back for two wks and i broke both tie rod links and tore my cv boot and pulled out my front fenders. All of it was my own fault and could have been prevented if i drove higher.

I like the look, however rolling static at that height is craziness, ever gotten stuck, I mean like really stuck with the car in the air because the frame is holding you off the ground? always afraid of going that low because I have an image of my car playing "see-saw" on a speed bump.
