Bought a new project/toy(ota). Not VIP, but may go Boso.

'74 Celica.  99.5% rust free.  Only rust is on the lower corner of drivers front fender by the door.  Floor pans, trunk, undercarriage all look GREAT!  Already had TRD springs and sway bars under it and A TRD cam and header as well as Weber side drafts on the motor.  Few other things too like dual side mount fuel filters, Accel coil, Malory electric fuel pump, roll cage, racing lap belts and maybe more I haven't found yet.  Plan on stripping it down, throwing on some new color, and generally cleaning it up all around.

Pretty much a complete restomod.  Want to make it like new, but keep the performance up.  Paint EVERYTHING.  Go back thru the engine.  And pretty much a 100% new interior.  But the Mod part I want to do it up mild boso style.  Front mount oil cooler, flares, super crazy wheels, and mild pipes.

When these are done right theyvlook boss. U got a sweet pick up. N rust thats krazy

Pretty clean specially with no rust, now you need a 2tg to power it. I've got an '84 since '95 but I've been off and on lookin for a 1st gen like yours. Throw some fender mirrors on there too. Later.

Got the mirrors ordered.  Same ones that are on my Scion.  And putting a 18rg in it.  

Yes, still have the rat.

Excellent choice too and remember the 18rg can be stroked to 2400cc with a 22r crank with some work. Later.

Found a set of HUGE flares in Japan but with the exchage rate the way it is, they would be like $650.  Seems a little too crazy at this time.  But I did find some wheels I like.  13x10 -40 and 13x12 -50.  With tires for $2200.  Not too bad considering I just spent $3800 on Weds for my xB without tires.  What do you think?

Also looking into a 1g-gte swap.  Pretty easy to do on these.  Make 2 new front mounts, rework tranny mount and it drops in.  Wire and go to the tune of 210hp stock or 260 with bolt-ons.  OR do a 1UZ swap, have seen a few of those too.

There's always the S2000 swap which is cool too. Centerlines would make it hot rod inspired i guess. Later.

Nice find! Those wheels are so right for a boso-build, and the 1G-swap gets my vote :dance:
