What shade of tint is VIP?

2002 Q45 Silver

I live in southern california. Don't want to go too dark like limo or should I? Lots of VIP pictures show dark limo tints. Is this the style? I want to tint the fronts the same shade so it would all match. If I go limo in the back I can't do that up front. Should I get dark in the back and medium up front?

i would say its all personal preference. some enjoy light green tint to give the car that ultra luxury look. maybe even very light blue like teh mercedez look. if tint laws are a big deal where ur from id just go medium all the way around or dark all the way around. i have limo in the back and dark up front. hard to see thru the drivers window at night. during the day its not so bad.

i did 5% in the back with 22% up front. got ticketed for the 22 up front, and had to remove it. doesn't really matter, most cops don't really care about it, and if you see a cop, just roll down the window of which side he's on. black is classic, and will always look good.

With a lighter silver (and I think Q's fits here) I think a light green tint looks good, but then again, black always looks good, though I'm not big on really mild (smoke) tints.

want us to tell you what rims, body kit, and suspension to get also? how about which scented air freshener to get?

come on guys..modding your car is about what YOU want, some people prefer light tint, some people prefer dark, some prefer red as some prefer curtains with no tint.

Don't be a drone, mod your own car...

Just getting opinions and other views. I'm sure what other people said in the past influenced in some of your decision making. Before I posted this I had no idea light green tint was an option nor blue. Light green tint is a "ultra luxury look?

In the USA, I think the lighter shades are becoming more popular, but this may
be my own *skewed* personal view coming in to play. I had the "limo" tint when
I was younger, but I'm just too old to go through that song and dance every
week with the CHP or the Sheriff.

Besides, I have a nice ride now, I don't mind if the ladies see me driving it...

I opted for SunGard's "Light Blue" on mine and have never looked back!
ZERO problems with the po-po!

Personally, i think it depends on the color of the car too. i wouldnt put like... green tint on say a red car. might look a little too xmas like. but thats my personal opinion. I like the black shades of tinting cuz it goes with most color cars. the amount of darkness i think depends on the person. like everyone is saying, some like dark some like light.

What a stupid question.

vip color is pink, there you go. go get it. and make sure your fusa is about 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall. It has to fill up your entire windshield.

go get em!

Here is a copy incase the link doesn't work.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I understand how diverse our views are on VIP styling for our cars as in what is VIP?* What style is it?* what parameters are involved?

I know that some people here are very stern on their views of what VIP Styling should be, however for everyone, please do not make it personal over style, opinion, and what not.* We have a lot of members that are here to learn and we need to accept them and show them how RESPECTABLE we can be towards each other.

Some people may feel that certain cars listed here do not belong on these forums but I feel that the VIP style can creep to other venues of automobiles.* I do not want to discriminate over car owners, everyone is welcome here whether you drive a Lexus, Honda, Toyota, Scion, BMW, or Benz, this is an open community as well as a great learning experience.

So please, be respectful of one another.* If he doesn't like a certain idea or maybe crazy offsetted wheels? don't bash the poster, just state your opinion respectfully and nicely.* Now if someone posts against your opinion or car, don't go ballistic on them and say "I PWN YOUR MOM! CAUSE IM 1337!!!"* (ok online gaming talk lol).* Take it with a grain of salt, we can't change others opinions but we can share our own respectfully

I agree, I think it is all about personal preference. What some ppl like other ppl dont. As for a certain color, I believe there is none!
