GS UAS Air bags rubbing - thinking of going KSports all around

So guys since UAS bags just dont fit the front of the GS I am considering ordering KSport air shocks. Will I have a problem hooking these up to my exsisting components? Anyone here run their setup yet?

Ive got a quote for 800.00 for the fronts which includes the coilover shock and the  bag completely assembled and ready for install. Sound like a good price? Are of any of the venders on here a ksport dealer?

I got quoted for 1750 + shipping for all 4 bag/struts from ksport directly. I thought about it but ended up sticking with coilovers and maybe cup kit later on.

Here is a better set up for the GS.. made by AIRREX.. i just finsihed installing them and there are awsome! No rubbing and you can buy just the struts.

Too bad there isnt an application for UCF10...but there is a UCF20. Are they backwards compatible?

Looks like the same company as Air Force air suspension in Taiwan. 

The bad thing is that you cannot ride at any height, you have the air pretty much only when you need to go over a bump, otherwise you are mainly driving at the coilover-height you set beforehand, and you cannot raise / lower while you are driving.

I think you're talking about cup system. Cause I got airforce air struts on two of my cars :) and you can ride at any height

There would be a spring and a bag. And why couldnt you raise lower while your driving?

Yes it includes the braket/spacers items as well. UAS said" weird it shouldnt rub any more." "Do you ride cambered out and low?" I said yea, but that should have been accounted for in your design. No body rides with the bags all they way up all day.

Yup it has the upper billet mount on too.

I'd never rock UAS on a 2gs...too many real stories of the rubbing.  I know some don't rub but I'd never take a chance like that.

Yup... My thoughts exactly...  Takes all of 5 minutes to do a google search and find the negative reviews about them on 2gs's. But the original owner didnt do that. Oh well the whole entire suspension, paint and body, and engine is about to be repaired/replaced. Ny

mine rubs too. im planning to get the RCA from studio to combat the rubbing. seems to clear my friends bag on his 2GS

Rear control arms? Im rubbing the front upper control arms. Would any of the camber adjustable arms for the front help on this?

no, RCAs are for the front and dont stand for rear control arms

Thanks for the clarification. Just came from 240's and the terms are alot different.

so everyone seem to have this front rubbing issue with uas bag anyone here not having this problem what is the solution to this?????

Well a different designed control arm and probably less front camber while driving would cure some of it.

look up Studio roll center adapters. its staggered and gives u like 6 degrees of camber up front

AirREX is the Answer...

If your on kyb's or something similar to stock struts the bag will rub, I went with short bags over bc's to resolve the issue with the car aired all the way down I still have about 2 inches left before the bag hits the knuckle

i can see the set up, just curious can you take some more pix. just one close up of the front set up and a aired out pic and aired up completely pic. meaning of you car if you can.

Dont really have any aired out pics, I dont air all the way down ever i prefer the flush look rears tuck edge of lip and fronts tuck almost all of tire when completely aired out, The setup was built to drive low and park lower, the reason for doing this was to have ideal air in the bag while driving low ( low psi in the bags drives like ass) Now you also have to remember you are losing your lift , at full up i only have about 2 finger gap between my front fender and tire, the rears tuck about a quarter of the tire. Im also on 18" wheels so anything larger would be tucked at full up.

Short bags are the way to go if you drive slammed. My all the way up looks similar to that and it's still pretty difficult to get around haha.

i see you use the bags to drive and have lift. I wonder if i can use to the coilovers to ride height and just use the short bags to lift over things when i need to or drive. Or will that not work at all? b/c the bag replaces the spring?

If your talking about driving with no air in the bag I dont recomend it, you will blow the struts. Have you looked into a cup kit? The cup kit allows you to raise the car when needed.

O yea i know i kinda figured because the bag replaces the spring. And i had cups and coils a while back I missed this alot :( lol anyways my whole air setup and m6 wheels are up for sale. need gone soon! anyways thanks!

I'm sure you know exactly how! Your video shows how careful you have to be with this setup, even though we are on air suspension. :p

UAS short bags on Bilstein Sports and SS kit all around. Still rubs a bit because I cut the UCA holes so it goes even lower in the front.
