projector lens

I am looking for a company that makes custom ones. Even people who make telescope lenses. I am fed up with the gattling for projectors and they suck. So, I am looking to make a one big one and make a custom reflector behind that.

I would try camera stores, that do custom work and repairs.

Thought that. But the problem is that the glass is solid not a convex lens only. I found that telescopes are the closest I can get. And most those are hand ground.

maybe try to find someone who works in an optometrist office who makes eyeglass lenses in house.

Well I thought of the camera stores, because they operate very closely to that of a telescope. And I think brain's idea should work, if there is someone that does that.

first thing I am doing is calling them. second thing I am doing is finding a f50 projector I can send them so they can cut it to size and shape

dope.  Keep us posted if it gets done lol.  But you might as well do it with the replica f50 projectors.  If you sell your stock ones, you can fund the whole project.  Plus, regular non xenon projectors dont have a good cut off and will be real illegal (especially that big of a lens).  Your going to blind everyone lol  Just keep that in mind

haha, Well blinding anyone is the least of my concern. right now, I get no satisfaction from my weak bs multi lenses. I need new headlights both sides. So I am looking for updates anyway. 

I am however fully aware of the cut off shield inside the projector. I was thinking about keeping the factory multi shield inside, and if it looks like crap, shines like crap, I will put the bigger one in.

Inifiniti said they made that cause the light out put they were trying to put out would require to big of a projector lens. Which I think, is bs. Maybe if it was 7 bulbs in one housing per lens.

I can blind people with my hood during the day, and my lights at night. Either way, it has to get done.. when it rains here I can not see at all. The lines are hardly seen on the road cause they lost their reflection, and the pavement doesnt reflect really, and if its brand new pavement.. oh no! haha. So this has to get done. My stock halogens on the Jag see better 24/7 no matter the weather. I seriously thought the bulbs were going out, replaced and nope.. I thought ballasts were going out.. I researched, and the lights just suck

Got so much light, we call it astral projection, project so high, we call it 1080pi HDMI.. UGH WHAT! :innoutrofl2:

I wanna see how this turns out. Are you going to replace every single lens on the projector? or making it one giant projector lens?

I'd really like to see how this works out. Because the Q45 projectors fit perfectly with my 2GS housing and it'd be crazy if it does work.

Have you thought about installing 50W hid system? I haven't tried it but will consider it once another of the stock ballast goes out.  In my Q I replaced the halogen high beams with HID and it made a huge difference.

50w? I thought factory would be more. But the highbeam is brighter than the lowbeam cause its the projector in its self. The high beam is just a giant flash light reflector. where Light has to come out of projectors the size of nickles with one bulb not 7. So why not make it huge projector?

OEM HID above 35watts do not exist. The higher watts are only and exclusively aftermarket units.
And there are also 75watt HID available now.

50W HID kits are rated around 4500 lumens. Some of the reviews I`ve seen show that there isn`t any additional glare compared to the 35W OEM system. I haven`t seen the light output of the 75W kit but I assume it`s going to be close 5500-6000 lumens, about 2x as much as the 35W. I would think the higher output kits have less efficiency as the OEM setups do. And also may require a new wiring harness since there is now twice the current flowing thru it.

yeah.. that was my issue i had on my s14. I ran to big of a watt bulb for my low beam and they popped all the time cause they melt the plug lol

Haven't measured them but the Fiat 500 projectors look to be on the large size. I'm sure with a larger size projector and a shroud you could take up the majority of space needed. Even if there was a 1/2 gap all the way around the opening it wouldn't look bad imo.

and this is why I need the projectors. I found a company that can do it. And check out the work this guy did with just a flash light! I can not wait to have the correct lens in my housing.

That's dope! Hmm maybe I'll do some more research on this... this needs some heavy calculations to get the designs optics just right. What about the reflector, how are you planning to handle that bit? It's gonna be a mofo to calculate the creation of the beam and it's control.

I do not care about calculations I do know that made to regular project specs it will be fine reflector is pretty easy you just make it twice as big as a stock one. If not use the Gatling one with a bg projector on front
