That is a lot of money to get it off the ground.. but will make china a killing cause it will not be made here.

The only thing I'm concerned about is, the glass isn't textured such as asphalt. So would there be traction difference?

I am sure they will figure it out if it does go forth. maintence would be a breeze, instead of repairing a whole strip of pavement, just pull a sheet up, and glue another down, even if there is a electric failure, you can pin point it easy too. 

If not just for the led surface.. but we really need to look into another source of road material that doesnt crack deform and give way. concrete dont work either.. Pretty soon we will need no lights on our cars cause we have the road lit. haha.
