Y34 grill and DIY front lip *pics*

got bored one weekend and redid my grill and tried out the DIY front lip. I had the factory lip spoiler but ended up tearing it off going up my driveway. :pat:. tell me what you think.

Grill looks good .. front lips and sides should be painted Grey to make it look lower .. :biggthumpup:

Painting is in the works. I plan on repainting my bumpers and sideskirts next week.

used to had this set up..now i have a new front lip :)

I am hoping this month to start on my custom front lip. I am taking a front lip made for another car and modifying it to fit on our cars. Just waiting for my body guru to be available to knock it out.

Sounds good. I'm looking into finding a lip that would work too. So we are both on the same page. :biggthumpup:

Grill was a pain in the ass, glad it's over with and painted. I was also thinking of going with a hood ornament too, what's your thought on that?

Im 50/50 on the hood ornament. I think it goes well with the VIP but it kind of is off with the sportiness of the M. 

I'm leaning to clean and not doing it.

The emblem delete on the grilles looks great :biggthumpup: Nice and sleek
 
I vote for hood ornaments! =) Everyone has preference though

Now that I think about it. If my grill was chrome or polished. I'd get a hood ornament.

I like the lip. Personally though, that rubber type of lip should not be painted, leave it black, even if you paint your sides and rear, I'd still leave it black.

grill looks  good, "lip" is what it is.

Love the grille, came out clean, lip, not really feeling it, i would try making one frm scratch with fiber glass but to each their own, thatz what i did for my rear lip....

All it is garage door bottom rubber sealer, self tapping screws and large washers. What's your email? I'll send you the pics.

I have a lip sitting in my garage right now. I just need to nail my body guy down to get it modded to put on. The lip will need to be shortened length wise and the sides need to be extended.

It is honestly not too bad. If it takes too much longer I may just try it myself.

Depending on the lip, the corner angles will also need to be adjusted along with the front curvature.  Not a simple job.

The one I got the curve lines up almost perfect. It should not be too hard. If I was a good body guy I could do it fast.
