Calling for HELP from VIP Style'd bB's

Im not exactly a Noob. I've just been misled to what VIP is and after doing some research on this site, I finally know the TRUE meaning.

My current suspension set up is a set of Progress coilovers, I wanted to be sure I would get a low drop. If I need to change them out to achieve the stance Im looking for I will. But prefer not too, yet. 

My question is simple, Im going from the SO-Called JDM to VIP style, and Im in the market for some wheels. Maybe some Work SL's or some DH's. But I dont know what wheels specs to get for that aggressive fitment that Ive seen some of you with.

Well you came to the right place.  Theres various fitments that you can get that look good.    Progress coilovers will go low enough if you have the guts to crank them down (I run them and ride lower than some on air).   Fitment:  Look for 8.5" wide with 10-15 offset O-disk in rear, and 8.5" wide with 20-25 offset in A-disk in front (depending on style of the wheel and your brakes).   Im running O-disks up front with no issues right now though.    DHs are classic and are what a lot of people run.   Camber them babies out and itll look hot.   Offtopic, but I didnt think SLs even came in 4x100.   Hot wheels though.   Best of luck on the VIP venture.  Anymore questions, dont be afraid to ask.

Does it matter what disks I use for the front and rear? I see you recomend A disk for the front, O disk for the rear, but you use O disk in the front.

Yea depending on some wheels.    The xbs have relatively small brakes, so MOST of the time wheels with O-disk will clear on front, but not all the time.  Plus, if you ever wanna upgrade to a BBK, then you're gonna have hella problems.   I know people like Dajap and others just run A-disk.   My O-disks BARELY clear brake calipers, and Im guessing on other designs of wheels they might not.  Im talking mm or two away.   Its tight.      If you're ordering, I would probably recommend you getting A-disks in the front, and O-disks in the rear.  If you go with what I recommended, youll have a big enough lip anyway.

Well, I like the set up Dajap is running. IT SAYS RESPECT MY AUTHORITAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!   

The DH's are VERY common. But on forums. lol. where I come from, there is no Bippu, or Bippu styling. So mail order is the only option. But before I go ordering a set of DH's. Who should I order from, that will know what Im talking about. I dont want to dish $2,000 and get the wrong fitment.

Hit up Emerson at AutoFashionUSA.   That man has been a huge help to me throughout the whole Scion scene.  Emerson will treat ya right.  He knows his ish too, so he'll get ya right.    His name on this board is xbizzle too.   Hands down he's your best bet.   Tell him that Scotty sent ya.    Dajap has 18x8.5 +12 offset O-disk, 18x8.5 +20 offset A-disk on his.   You can just order up that if you want the same sorta fitment.   Hope that helps.

I wonder how a +25 O-disc would work on the front? I put my rear wheels on the front and they hung out an inch and a half. Looked super sick tho.

Well I run 8" wide +25 offset O-disk Euroline Ns on the front.  Pretty damn flush, but then again my fronts arent cambered.   Are yours what 9" in the rear Jim?

yeah, I put my 17x9 +20 o-disc on the front. Molded METAL fenders would be i order then.

yea when i was ordering my rims i was wondering if O disc or super low disc as SSR calls it would fit the front as I have seen some people do it. I just didnt want to take the chance.  It wasn't worth the danger! HAHAHA!
