Nothing but the best for the price. I ran BC Racing coils on my 05 STI and I currently have a set with custom spring rates on my G50 Q45. Couldn't be happier!

BC will make a true coilover, but will not warranty it or be responsible for damage to the car. This is because they have not tested the structural integrity of the shock mount. I have done a couple true coilover conversions with customer supplied parts and no issues AFAIK, but proceed at your own risk.

Benefits are easier height adjustment, reduced weight, easier toe adjustment (cup removed and replaced with adjustable toe link).

As far as going low, you can custom spec BC including damper length.

1K shipped. lead time is approximately 3 weeks on custom orders (the last couple i have ordered have taken a little longer) or a few days if you order stock specs and the application is in stock at bc na.

there is no y34 app, just a hybrid y33/z33 custom order. if you're going to tuck, spring rate will mostly be determined by your desired ride height.

there is not a camber plate for the y50. camber is not adjustable via plates because the suspension design includes an upper control arm. there are other options though, unless you're need them for another reason.

Ah, gotcha. I'm not really looking to run crazy camber or hardcore tucking. Would they still be necessary?

At this point I can't really decide between the G Brembos or Akebonos but I'm also wondering about upgrading the stock stuff. It's not bad, but I think it'd be TONS better with some better pads, rotors, and SS lines.

This is without camber adjustments, and stock wheels. Should have 7 series wheels on next week. Easy to install, just like what I've read people doing to the other brands. I'm tucking tired front and rear.

No, they do not. You have to cut your stock spindle and weld. The y33 DOES come with spindle...and I was going to go that route and test fit for OG, but being 10 hours away if I ran into an issue made me nervous.

that is correct. the y34 app is a hybrid setup using y and z components. the fronts will be the weld in version because there is no confirmation that the spindle version is compatable.

those were cut and weld, but at that time it was unclear if the y33 spindle would work. it has been confirmed now. i can do the weld in version for $1k, or the full spindle version for $1150.

these 2 goals contradict each other. in order to ride low static the suspension needs to be stiffened. you will 100% lose the luxury car feel even with base rates. the ride will be significantly firmer. "sporty" is the common adjective.

as for what is the best setup for the y34/f50, i'm not sure yet. not many of these setups have been done, and even less custom spec. when figuring out new application it sometimes takes some trial and error to get the custom spec right. i spoke to bc to see what was possible with this setup and based on that conversation i would recommend a -40mm 12/10k setup. this is as short as we can get the rears, with the fronts shortened to match. the rates are increased accordingly.
