I love it, very user friendly and I preferred better than the switches. With the money people spend on switch box, gauges, fittings, and valves Im suprised why peopl dont just put an extra couple hundred bucks and just buy a controller like this one. HoeBag recomended to me I highly recommend it to anyone else.

The ride on the freeway is just like stock. I got some city driving today and it was a bit bouncy in the rear but its my first day with it so I just need to find the right amount of pressure to ride on. Haven tried adjusting the cilovers or anything either so Im sure when I get around to it it will ride like stock.

Thanks again for the comments folks. Ill update as more stuf gets done/bought.

Im thinking about PZ, if I get the retros done early and get a chance to wash Ill be up there. Hit me up with a text if you end up going for sure. Usually at the meets I hardly even know anyone and get bored quick lol. I should go by the shop, its like 5 mins walking distance from my house lol. I swear everyday I roll by to get home I look to the right to see if I see it outside at which point that means its done, nothing yet though:(

Nah, if I had done it just JEEBUS it would have been noticable quick. Like this you have to know what it is to notice it. DOnt knowif it makes sense lol, plus I liked the texas thing in the middle. I guess what Im trying to say is I didnt want it to be so noticable.
nizzan4u2nv;177501 wrote:That looks real good, I like it. What other plans do you have?

Nothing now, Im gonna be buying parts from now until february-march for paint. Full kit, wing, fenders, and exhaust are gonna be the first order thats for sure, hopefully be ordered end of august. Then new wheels after that and small interior stuff and off to paint/body around March. Audio system after that then engine but right now im just concerned on buying exterior, wheels and interior stuff to be ready before next summer.

I still pay for my own college so I cant waste the money I have for the kit and stuff just yet or else I would have already:sad:. I should know whats gonna happen within the next couple days.

Speaking of of the plate, ANis you a mod can you change my sn? Not necissary but if you can do it please.

Trust me dude, this shit is so fucking easy, really time consuming and the first light is the experimental so its takes a while. My light output was fucked up because I got 2 right sided projectors. I thought it didnt make a difference but I think im gonna redo one and flip it upside down to fix the cut off. THe low beam reflector was pretty much a perfect fit for the projector but we still had to cut alot. Really easy stuff man, read a couple do it your selfs online and ask a couple questions and do it. your headlight looks smaller than mine so check to make sure it fits first.

Yea if I go too low while riding the fronts tend to make some noice like its botoming out but when I look under nothing seems to be low enough to bottom out when I think it does. I jsut drive a little higher and it stops.

unfortunately theyre not. from my understanding the extra clearance with artisan spirit fenders is only on the 2GS or other applications. I could be wrong though, not that it matters since there will be flares added to the car:D

Its not some big secret or anything, I don't really car for the show scene myself. The car's at MXT, I was going to go with jc but they were most likely out my budget and the turn around time is a joke, though they do do top notch work. Mxt's pricing is pretty fair for all the work they're doing and my car is coming back in less than a month. You can hit up ikonmark on the forums and he'll help you out

Not adding more camber to it, if anything I will change the wheels to smaller width with much lower offset to give it a more cambered look but for now I'm fine with the camber it has.

Looks good, thanks for the updates. Your ride is going to come out sick. The only bone I would have to pick if it were my car is that it looks like they are removing dings with filler Like on the hood and door panels but as long as they know what they are doing it should be cool. Good to see you had the emblems shaved too. Can't wait to see what they fab up for the front fenders.

Thats normal for bodywork man.Pretty much everything needs even a very thin layer of filler on top to have things smooth. Its different when lets say you have a big dent and its not pulled out, just completely filled in.

For certain applications the fenders do come wider. When i bought them i thought they were going to come wider but that was not the case for the LS400 so I kept them just for the design and having the body shop widen them out to fit the wheel.

Ill add a 5mm spacer for flushness, plus it gives me a little extra clearance for new wheels in a couple months. 12 inch wide was a little wider than I thought so i want something less wide soon.

you should keep the wheels dude.. any other skinnier wheel that you choose will have the same outer position, albeit a lower offset. your current wheels just fill up the space inside. wider is better! =)

yup, but I guess if a thin layer of bondo smooths out where PDR leaves off, or if it's just easier or faster or whatever. But yeah, this build is coming along well. I love under construction shots. That's where all the magic happens.

when i went to school for body work we were tought to metal work all dents. some of my buddies continued to persue the field (both custom and collision) and when they got the real world experience they handled whisky dents exactly how this shop is doing them. the explanation was that the dents are so small and shallow that it is better to just fill them rather than work them, because when you work them you actually make the damaged area larger. made sense to me.

That makes sense. Those dents were minimal, in fact over half of those I didn't even know were there so i'm sure the filler was minimal

Gotcha. I forgot the name of the tool that welded a spike or like a nail to the ding, then a slide hammer, grinder and minimal filler, and then sand block. I tried to get our instructor to teach me PDR but those guys hold their tricks of the trade close to their heart. Yeah, makes sense, much easier and cost evective to just sand it down sqweegie a little filler and hit it w/ the sand block especially if like say a whole panel is gettin painted or in this case whole car. PDR is to avoid all that LoL.

I wasn't going to post any pictures until we got a photo shoot together but the car will be going into hibernation again this week so I can send some things off to dipp-tech and have my interior redone so I figured I would post 1 pic. Aiming to have it put back together by the time IR comes around in April. Crappy cell pic so consider this a teaser. It's a candy metallic red color so it's hard to get the actual color with my cell phone, it does it no justice whatsoever :

Thanks for the kind words. Still so much more to go but we're getting there. As far as the corners, I just bought these brand new when it was getting painted. I guess I should have just bought clear ones but I've had bad experiences with after market head lights in the past so I didn't really consider them but the orange is kind of an eye sore now that it's painted so I'll have to look into them. 20sburning, where did you get yours? If you don't mind saying.

It isn't. The orange piece you see it what covers the bulb under it. The bulbs in there are clear but light up amber due to the orange cover. I guess we could attempt to break them open and remove it then just seal them up. I'll have to look at my old ones first.

I agree 20's sit well. For some reason I am not a big fan of radiused fenders and big wheels. Granted that 430 is a bit of an exception cos it's a uuuuge car to start with. But this ride:

Wow that 430 is crazy. I like radius fenders but they look odd to me when rolling. They look great at a stand still since they drop a lot lower than any other cars on big wheels. It's very expensive body work as well which I wasn't willing to spend either way. And Im pretty sure the article was talking about RacinStylez 430 from Texas. Its the only 430 with radiused fenders in the state that I know of:giggity:

Here is a small preview. So far the inserts have been done in suede along with the bottom portion of the panel. Still have to do the leather part of the panels. The seat pics will have to wait until theyre done sometime next week:coolugh:

Awesome job with your ride Jeebus.......its an inspiration for my LS build as well.
I just picked up a set of 20x9.5 -5 and 20x11 -5 for my LS.....hopefully I might be able to get away with an extreme roll and pull.

Thanks folks. Here is a shot of the final product for the driver seat before I dropped it in the car. I should have the rest of the stuff by the end of the week so ill put it in on the weekend if I get my car back by then. Yes, the inner parts of the seats and door panels is suede, the rest was replaced with leather again since my old leather starting to look worn. They're pretty sturdy since I guess they're "new" and they are pretty comfortable.

Chicos upholstery on harwin. So far I can't say I'm 100 percent satisfied so aproach at your own risk. He does a lot of highend cars (working on 2 ferraris since my car was there along with a benz and bemer here and there) along with commercial stuff like vans and stuff so they're good for redoing seats and such but the custom work they could use some more work.

As it turns out, the koenigs werent gonna fit my car unless I ran a pretty big spacer to clear the caliper. Rebarell, custom spacers or extended studs were gonna be more than I wanted to spend so I went ahead and order some leon hardiritt Grals instead. I'm keeping the koenigs for now and might end up rebuilding them sometime next year when the grals get boring.

Nice! Can't wait to see 19's on your car. Is there a reason why you went with a 9" in the front? Why not something wider than 9"? Tire options are a lot better with a 9.5" or 10".

No real reason for it. If I had shopped for tires prior to ordering them, I probably would have just stuck with a 10 inch like before.

I basically had to order the specs off the chart that were closest to my old specs since I didn't want to do any more fitment mods. I knew I wanted to go down to an 11 in the rear so I chose the offset closest which happens to extend it out 5mm, which I think will be perfect. I think I did look in a 10 inch as well but the closest offset was going to be 10 mm further out iirc which would more than likely cause rubbing issues.

Didn't know that you couldn't order custom offsets from Super Star. Is Work the only one that does that? The Grals are gonna look nice on your car.

I think you can do custom offsets with weds' Kranze line but not the others like maverick, could be wrong thoigh.. iirc correctly some ssr wheels go by a chart also.

There were quite a few restrictions but I liked the wheels. I originally ordered them with a step lip but they called me back and said they do not do step once you get over a certain lip size. I'm kind of glad it worked out this way because the faces look small as is when I pulled them out of the boxes and with the way the lip is on these it would have looked weird with kind of a double step, if that makes any sense.

Those wheels are gonna look a lot better then your old ones IMO.

Mavericks have an option for custom offset, kranze do not. Usually 2 piece wheels are free offset because they just move the face in/out depending on offset before they weld it. 3 usually isnt because they have premade lips and barrels for assembly. If that makes sense.

Thanks guys. Pancakes, I sees it. My first choice before the modulars was actually the weds you have at one point.

Debating if I should add a small spacer to the front so it matches the rear. The specs converted were suppose to sit 5mm further out up front but to me they seem to be in the same position as my old wheels. Im assuming since these were 19s and with the upper control arm clearance the car went a little lower causing a little bit more camber.

These are fiberglass, I wasn't even aware they made metal fenders. These have been cut and widened since Artisan did not offer them widened already like they do for the GS. Some applications give extra clearance vs stock but not for the LS.

matching front camber in the works. i have a feeling there will be some mods done in the rear to get back to single digits (currently 12*). the real issue is the rears won''t quiite tuck yet, and 12* at this height does not look real good. ~10* a couple inches lower on the other hand...

38/34? for what purpose other than looking cool on the internet? no reason on earth to go that high other than typing it over and over.

but i am anxious to see this car's suspension dialed in. it has never had the ride height it deserved.

Well i think everyone know im a fan of excessiveness, besides its better be safe than sorrystiffer springrates lessen the chance of fender to wheel damage! This is the reason why i went with the tuck look and gave up in the poke/ flush look that shyt is way herder to pull off!! I really want to see someone pull it off!!!

[QUOTE=OG;424702]38/34? for what purpose other than looking cool on the internet? no reason on earth to go that high other than typing it over and over.

i prefer the precision approach. do exactly what you need; no more, no less. this car will not be getting any more bodywork so i don't think flush at ride height is in the cards. flush 19s is just too high.

Flush on 19's too high..? Chris you be tripping :smiley-rofl:

That ish been done countless times in the Japan scene, and also with 20's. 19"/20" staggered setup would be the best in my opinion and also that can be achieved without too much work. For the LS it should be even easier because of the way the rear doors/quarters are shaped. You would only need to mildly tub your front inners and radius accordingly, and rears are a walk in the park for a skilled body man. Just cut open the door well/quarter and move a tad higher and take a piece of the door off as well. It's just as easy as rust panel repair.... no biggie right =)

Of course this isn't for you beginners out there, you'd need to have some experience with body panel repairs and a bit of imagination.

Biggest problem with this is that you would be SLAMMED as a mofo ALL TIME even with cups, so it might be a little tough DD'ng this
That's the reason why I didn't go that route with my 20/21 setup... oh and I'm not confident enough with my skillz (unexistent).
