Need Help With Offsets....G50 Q45.

I have a 92 Q45....suspension and wheels are stock at the moment. This weekend I will be putting Z32 suspension on to lower the car substantially. I am looking to buy 18 inch wheels (not going to do the 19s like I did with my I30...) with either an 8.5 or 9.5 inch width.

What type of offset would I be looking at to sit pretty close to flush? My main concern is no poke due to there being no adjustability in the suspension. To give an idea of how the car will sit, here is a G50 with z32 suspension on 19 inch G35 wheels..

this is a 10.5 +27 w/ 235/40, so compare sizes to this.

Thats a 10.5 up front? I am probably going to run a 9.5 all the way around unless I can find something wider in an 18. If I absolutely "have to" I will run a larger sized wheel, but really want to stay 18 and below. I am actually contemplating using a stock 16 inch Infiniti wheel as well....yikes.

Finding even 11" 18's in decent condition shouldn't be a problem... don't really know anythin' about the Q's fitment but 10" +0 et almost always works =)

Main thing I am looking for is a nice deep lip on an 18 inch wheel.

They are 18x10.5 fr500 replicas. Just some wheels I had left over from my s13 that I was testing on the G50.

Was that 8.5 front and 9.5 rear? I am thinking of a 9.5 all the way around, mainly for the dish.

Here is a 17x9.5 +6 on the rear, this was before RUCA/TOE rods were installed.

Just swapped in the z32 suspension and now just needing to figure out the wheels. Stockers are on now, 16x6.5 +45....has a lot of pull, but still looks "decent", retaining that stock feel and look

TSI... what brand z32 struts did you install? i tried the install about a year ago, and they kept blowing, not to mention the ride quality was as bad as cut springs. I might be interested in trying again with a different brand as it seems like its working for you. thanks

btw, when i had it on i was running 19x9 in the front and 10 in the rear with +5 all around and still had a lot of poke.

I am using z32 TT front springs and TT rear springs. I bought 4 brand new Monroe Sensatrac FRONT z32 struts. You have to use the front struts for the rears...the rear struts are physically longer.

You also have to fabricate brackets to join the lower strut mount on the rears to the spindle...a lot of guys use angle iron and the box method, but I used two straight pieces of steel with holes drilled 2 inches apart.

The rears sit a tad bit higher than the fronts, but not too shabby....pic below. Again, it is all stock parts, no cutting of the springs, etc. The rear TT springs have a stiffer spring rate....if you get the NA rear springs, you will sit a tad lower.

How do you think these wheels would sit....specs:

Front: 18"x8" +36
Rear: 18"x9" +35

I am thinking it probably wont sit flush at all...

Here is 19x10 +43 front and rear (front using 6mm spacer for third link clearance) with 245/35/19 tires on stock fenders and JIC's at a moderate setting

Its hard to say for sure because the look really depends on the ride height. The lower you go, the more specific the fitment needs to be. Best thing to do is test fit, next best thing is a different spec wheel (even stock), some math, and some measuring

Thanks, maybe this summer ill try the set up again with aftermarket struts, i kept trying them with oem struts, cuz they were dirt cheap, but they kept blowing i gave up on set up. hopefully the ride quality will be better too, im guessing mine was horrible because they kept blowing.

hopefully the rims will work out, hope to see pics too

TSI1991AWD is an internet scammer. Just do a search on ebay and google and you'll see he has scammed many people out of their hard earned money. Do not do business with him and if you have relevant information on name and where he can be found, it would be appreciated so the proper authorities can prosecute him for his Internet crimes.
