There is no matching UAS bags with a coilover, when the bag is filled with air, any coilover will perform the same, and when air is removed, the coilover will still perform the same as if there was no spring.....

So to answer your question, any shaft that fits inside the bag will work best with the bag. The only difference is that when the bag is inflated, the dampening will vary on ride quality, which can be chosen with certain manufacturers like BC, PBM, which tend to be the popular choice here. In addition, any quality coilover will allow for dampening adjustment on the shock, which tends to yield.... +/-2k...but I can't be for sure on that number.

What chassis are you working with? Certain platforms, e.g. 2gs have clearance issues with UAS and many opt to go with airrunner or any manufacturer with a narrower bellow.

Any coilover that's threaded portion is no bigger then 2.14" in diameter..

I am going to ride my car near dumped which the bag is nearly inflated and only raise to clear obstacles. So i guess coilover choice will affect the ride quality in my case. I'm debating between Tein CST and BC which will give me the max drop(lay frame) and maintain a good ride quality but I accept any suggestion that fits my needs.

By the way, I working on my 2007 GS450h. Not sure if there is clearance issues on 3GS.

How do you know if the threaded portion is no bigger then 2.14"?

How do you know if the threaded portion is no bigger then 2.14"? - You measure it........

So your saying that you will be riding 'nearly inflated?' so that means...barely inflated or completely inflated? If there is barely any air in the bag, the shocks will ride like you took the spring out...

The inflated bag is now your spring, no air = no spring. Therefore the car will ride like shit no matter the shock. Thats why people that want to ride really low look for the shortest bag possible, so that it stays inflated at a lower height.

lol.. there is a typo. i mean nearly deflated. shortest bag possible do you mean shortest shocks or there UAS has application for shorter bag?

UAS offers a shorter bag, having the shorter bag will allow you to ride lower @ higher psi/stiffer "spring rate" preventing you from bottoming out as easy..think of it like the shorter bag would be like going up spring rates with coilovers..

uas has a short bag as well IIRC. or you can set the threaded section to the lowest possible height and have more air volume, but less lift.

IMO i wouldnt waste your time or money trying to do that on the GS.. WE have tried it and scrapped the Idea.. The UAS bags are to wide..

just to let you know the rear of the GS strut has to be flipped when using UAS bags. flip meaning bag must go on bottom of the strut not the normal what you see with the bag on the top. . and there has been issues with rubbing..
If your looking for a coil over type.. go with AIRREX.. no running issues.

I'm actually having issues with my UAS set up on my 3GS right now too.
The bags never use to rub until I installed an adjustable upper control arm for more
negative camber. Now when I dump the two front bags rub at the very end of the car being lowered.

a silly question. how do you determine the coilover that will be fit with UAS will sit lower?
