Yup so anxious to see where Payton goes...I can't stand Eli and know the Madden gods would never allow Eli to have more Lombardi trophies then him. Can you imagine the family get together's haha...
I only root for the 9er's cause I went to high school with Delanie Walker with the addition of Moss lets see what that does for team, hopefully more then ocho-cinco's presence in NE lol.
Anyways GO COWBOYS!

lol @ cowboys, they gonna suck again.

texans will still be strong, bears will be stronger with the addition of their newest receiver :) this looks to be a great season, i think wherever mario goes (if its outside of houston), he will be a let down.

dont think texans shoulda got rid of mario, but im really excited to see how they do this year. superbowl contenders, wish theyd reach for manning tho. bears look great on paper, but dont see em getting past the second round. i think niners will be the most exciting team to watch this year..a lot of good wide outs in the draft and free agency...moss def wont be super productive, but he'll open up the field for gore. one more good receiver and we'll have 3 good weapons + running game. another team i think would be an instant superbowl favorite if they were to go for manning (assuming hes healthy)

wow this is one big block of text...i think chargers were dumb to let VJ go, but some of their pickups are stating to make it make sense.

there was no way the texans (or any other team) was gonna pay mario what buffalo offered him. we dont necessarily need him though, barwin was a great replacement for him and will continue to be. if anything i think he is going to be an injury prone let down in buffalo.

bears will do well, they could creep into the superbowl if they can stay healthy. but its gonna be tough.

49ers will be a good team if they can come together early.

It all comes down to Any Given Sunday...some call it a cliche some call it the truth.
There are Superbowl contenders, surprise pics, one and done playoff bound teams, and everything else in between.
Stats on paper is a huge difference then gameday performance. I was surprised that GB an NO didn't take it last yr and even more surprised that the Giants did.
But as a fan I'll stand behind my Cowboys...I know they suck I hate Romo but I have faith in them game after game and believe that can come out of their dormancy over the past two decades and be a title contender's just as the Bulls are now doing post Jordan era.
I will say that Romo is a great quaterback just not a consistent one and our secondary isn't what it use to be so bye bye Newman haha.

Here's how we saw the VJ impact on the Chargers and its salary cap.

Hardwick (C), Meachem (WR), Gaither (LT), Johnson (OLB), and McClain (FB) combined count as 13.65 million against the Salary Cap in 2012.

VJ's Salary Cap number would of been 13 million.

Or the combination of Meachem and Royal salary should equal about what VJ would of gotten.

We also added Atari Bigby today so not too bad. Still need a real NT tho I think.

Living in San Francisco, EVERYONE was all over the fact that the 49ers had a secretly held workout with Peyton. I personally am a big fan of Alex Smith because of the perseverance he has shown. He may not have gotten them to the Super Bowl but it wasn't fully his fault. None of the SF Wide Receivers showed up against the Giants, not to mention the mental mistakes that Kyle Williams had.

Rather be a cowboys fan then a chargers fan is all im saying=)

Anyways crazy rumor weekend...
but I can't believe Peyton chose Denver I thought for sure San Fran cause Alex Smith was negotiating talks with Miami (hint being that Smith and Manning both have the same agent). But I am pretty sure Elway sold him the American dream and their an easy favorite now in that division.
Also Flynn signed with the Seahawks, gotta reserve judgement on him but if its anything like his game against the Lions I'm excited to see what he can do under Pete Carrol.
So my guess is Tebow doesn't play another NFL game??

after hearing analysts talk about why he choose Denver it makes sense in a way. I am sure it had a lot to do with John Elway and the whole comfort level I did a fast forward scan to their schedule next year and its pretty tough so let's see what happens...

Bahc - us cowgirls pick him up due to kitna retiring, dam bears picked up campbell so i guess he was the best option.
I don't know why the no faith for Smith though? His comeback victory against the Saints with the 14-yard touchdown pass to Vernon Davis with 9 seconds
wasn't good enough for all the naysayers??

Yeah i was surprised that the 49ers were going after manning. I thought smith was harbaugh's long lost son. ;) but it makes it better for me anyhow cause it'll be that much easier on my Seahawks this season. I hope Flynn turns out to be a good qb but you never know.

my money on keapernick...our lineup is looking super solid tho, not dreaming. judging from last year...top 3 defense, top 3 special teams, top 3 coaching staff, great RB, and now a great WR core...all before the draft. so far, we look to have a top 3 front office as well.

edit: as for smith, i'm not against the idea of bringing him back..i think we'll be just fine, and still superbowl contenders, with him..however, his performance vs the saints doesnt make him a good quarterback. sure he had a great couple of plays, but it should have never came to that point. if comeback drives are all that matters, than tebow be the next montana!

lol can we stop talking about Tebow he is a horrible QB and his career is done with...for everyone saying he could possibly learn from Peyton is wrong! His throwing style is all muscle memory you cant unchange that and he no QB vision maybe some team can use him as an option assuming that he can catch.
9er's will be a dominating force and I assume the bears and texans will too but it seems like that doesnt matter based on the last couple super bowls champs and there subpar season records....all you gotta do is get in and you have a chance...hint denver

Texans schedule is a little tougher this coming season. On the plus side, there is no lockout so Wade could work his magic on the defensive end. I can't wait to see who everybody picks in the draft next month though..

Ya, fuck the Saints and any other organization doing the same thing.
This sort of shit is only happening now cause the sport is more business than sport.
I love football, hockey and basketball but in the last decade its become increasingly harder to watch with all the bullshit the corporations have introduced.

Either way, I like Tebow. I've always liked tough QB's. Guys like Hoffstetler, Young and Vick. Guys who can run straight into a lineman and get up and throw 30 yards the next play.

Really on the fine handing out to the Saints organization???
I call BS...this is football whatever happened to the motto “Let Them Play for Pay”
What about punishing the Pats when they were cheating I recall Beicheat only getting a fine, I agree Goodell is running football into the ground. Sidenote the coaches need a union

And I think the Tebow signing was more of desperation since their disappointing season, even more so than the Eagles imo, I do see him being used in wildcat formations I am sure Ryan and Sparano are already drawing out plays.
I have faith in my USC Quaterbacks...yes even matt leinart LOL

sparano comes from miami right? he always used the wild cat..and rex ryan has been quoted as a proponent of it since, as a defense minded coach, he was unable to stop it. that being said...wildcat only works when its not expected because its hard to cover vs that when your worried about a conventional play...if they only bring tebow in for wild cats its kinda like...duh haha

For all that is happening to the Saints, I think they will do better than most expect. Granted, Sean won't be around this coming season but I think Brees will step up and take charge, like he always had. Will they make it into the playoffs? Maybe not but if they do, I will not be surprised one bit.

So whats this I hear about Brees may be leaving the NOLA??

What the f*ck is up with my Texans?? Teams are further enhancing their chances of making it into the playoffs/SB but the Texans are releasing a lot of guys and getting nothing in return except cap space..?! We better draft well!!!!! This seasons schedule isn't looking easy either.

Dammn are the 49'rs making moves!
They just signed Brandon Jacobs joining ex Giant teammate Mario Manningham...
but I always feel like having too much talent in some cases is just as bad as having not enough.

So what do you all think of the new NFL rules change?
I like the regular season OT rule change but not the turnover rule (automatically reviewed just like scoring plays) I like the coaches rushing to decide to challenge or not for fear of losing a timeout haha

oh well

They just picked up a washed up Punter to replace the current punter who is on suspension for enhanced performance drug use for 3 games.
