2012 SC430 UPDATE

Its that time of year again. Car is with Nate at Dreamakers Kustoms getting a beating again.

Fresh out of DK last year. Car came out great but not to the point I felt it was complete. (No Money!!) Most already knew the front wasnt gonna last long. There was just too much white in the front and was outdated. This is gonna be my last go with it.

Started photoshopping a bunch of pics of what I had in mind and ended up with this. Originally I wanted to get the Aimgain front end but having a custom front would be something no other car in the world would have.

nice parts selection. looks like the front bumper dimesions are on point. should be a clean final product. i like the is-f vent/skirt, but i hope they do some sectioning to get the fit better vs. just filling the gap. what material are the is-f pieces?

Thanks OG The fenders are just mocked up as of now. The actual fitment will be much better. I have my trust with Nate. As for the IS-F parts I had to get the entire  fenders and side skirts to make this work. The fenders are metal and the vent/side skirts are plastics.

oh ok... i see it now. i wasn't sure if it was 2 pieces or one per side but that makes sense. duh.

Thank you VIP gods for the kinds words.  =) Well the front bumper is almost completed. I still have to work on the fenders and the rear bumper. Still a long ways to go and debating on a few things. I should have an update later as the front should have primer on. Gonna take my time on this so I don't have to go back to shop after shop and finally just drive and enjoy the ride.. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Again thanks for the compliments. A little update on the car. Front is almost compete and working on the ISF fenders. Need to tig weld the fenders.  For those that are curious what that front end is.. It comes off a 2012 Jaguar XJL with 2012 Mercedes R350 LED's.

OG, As you know with adding this fender there was no way to really tell if it was going to work or not. (Me not being a body guy) I had a chopped picture and that is all I had to work with. It was a risky move since I had to shell out for a brand new fenders/side skirts and to chop it up its money down the drain if it doesn't work. I was worried as well in the beginning if the fenders came out too far that it would not be in proportion with the rear. This is a different angle and it looks like it doesn't come out much.So far it looks pretty promising to me. I think i like it.  If anything Ill make the rear wider =)

I can't even say that "this got crazy" because it was crazy before. This is just a whole 'nother level. Possibly the best front treatment I've ever seen on an SC and the ISF style fenders are [i]awesome[/i].

I am trying to figure out why rap artists dont rock stuff as bad ass as that. Maybe it is cause they dont know.. or have the knowledge or comprehend low, and bags, and fitment and not destroy it while driving. maybe donk style is so they can look flashy while still being able to drive anywhere. and not have to worry about ground clearance.. what ever the case may be.. you could roll up to the mtv awards in that bitch all day

i just know that whenever they film various rap/pop videos they usually put out a call for peeps to volunteer their cars (nice magazine cover friendly cars that is) for the video. my boy in dc used to actually make a few dollars off putting his old modded 911 in the vids... not sure if he ever let em turn it on though ;D   this car could more than easily be in any video, but i just don't think most people take the time and effort to appreciate a good build.

oh yeah nearly forgot, what the F man, that car is ballin straight up NASA/Mars budget style' you must be gettin some of that nasa money¿

Wow you've exceeded alot of expectations with this beast you definitely out did yourself it looks fanfckintastic I definitely cant wait to see a complete shoot of it...

i like the bumper in varying levels depending on the angle of the shot. kind of feel like the sideskirts turned out exactly like i thought they would, can't say that i think the vision was executed as well as it could have been. the rear bumper is cool, although i think a little more thought could have been put into the shape/placment of the vents. very minute changes would have made a big difference in my mind. they look tough from the rear though. color choice is great, the shade right between copper and gold is perfect. new wheels perhaps? something to tie into the sporty new look. i'd say this is the second best example of this mash up style y'all have going on behind chris' gs.

I saw it in person yesterday... Wow... the presence is insane... Little kids were stopping and arguing that it was their car... even a slapbox fight broke out :smiley-rofl:


Once the kids accept it... You know you doing it and doing it well...

Thanks fellas for comments and opinions. I can dig it. Overall I'm happy about the way it came out. I'm not a pro building these cars but this is my crack at it. A few things that I didn't complete but may come at a later time. Ill get some side and rear shots soon.

Really well done! I like how the fog light/running light's? branch off from the center of the bumper and seem to float there in the black cut-out. I know off-set specs are taboo but would you share the paint specs?? What manufacturer and line?

Thanks. Well there are no secrets with me, if it can help the next man go for it.. Wheels are Front 19 x 10 -16 Rear 19 x 11.5 -7.(might be up fpr sale soon =))I used a paint called MIPA Gold Gemini.

Them Specs are weak ... "Soup or Soda, U wan Free Soup o Soda!"

So you went with one of the cheaper V.I.P. paints LOL =)
Looking the pics could have easily mistaken it for the MIPA Pollux paint...

I actually liked the color and is around mid level in MIPA basecoats. The Pollux is not really that much more but the Venus is whats $$$$

Yeah it looks really nice in pics, and knowing the line-up I bet it's spectacular in person.
Btw what does these MIPA paints cost in the States? Here I can get the Venus/Aquarius for 1080$/Litre, Pollux 670$/L and Gemini 290$/L...

I'd really would love to experiment with the VIP line-up, but for now my budget limits me to only using only the standard MIPA base/topcoats:sad:

Its a little different in prices. The Venus is around $999.05/L and the Gemini is around $321.25/L

sometimes it's hard to stop picking everything apart and appreciate cars for what they are instead of what they're not. looking at these pics it's impossible to deny that overall this car is pretty bad ass and you have to apreciate how far the u.s. has progressed in a relatively short time. :biggthumpup: on the gold bolts and hardlines.
