....those with y34 led tails

i need help....like fast. i got some led tails....but dont have the subharness for them. for anyone that has some sittin around or on the car, can you take some pix or tell me what wires go for the led board connector. it takes a small 3 pin connector, so i'll even have to try and find a compatible connector....:signdammit:

I did no wiring of any sort, just unplugged the old ones, and plugged in the new ones, bam, done, same connector.

i know they use the same main connector......i'm talking about the bulb harness that is on the lights themselves.....thats what i dont have lol

hmm, confused I guess, not sure why you would need any harness at all. Did you get some that are taken apart or something or you're doing something custom?

see the wires? that harness. lol the jdm lights have a small 3pin connector for the led board. i need to know where those 3 wires come from.

If that's the case, it's exactly the same as the USDM one. Like I said, I unplugged my stock ones, plugged in the JDM LED ones, bolted them in and that was all there was to it. 

I'm probably missing what you're talking about though, sorry I'm no help lol

:pat: that subharness in the picture is FOR the lights. the usdm lights take 3 diff bulbs. the jdm lights take the 2 bulbs on the bottom and a diff connector for the led board. yes, the factory body harness plugs into the big connector you see....and they work. but my lights dont have that subharness lol.....which is why i need to see what the wires for the led board go to.

sounds like your best bet is just to source that subharness. shouldn't be too expensive from nissan japan, just find an importer that can get it for you.

yes you're right, i do need the subharness lol but i was tryna have these lights on for 2 big car meets this weekend and i didnt even realize i didnt have them until just the other day :(

so did you get a set of the JDM LED lights and having issues, or you're doing something totally different?

yes, i got some lights....no, nothing custom going on. they just didnt come with the subharness and the plastic finisher piece that goes on the inside edge. 
so i am going to use my usdm harness and tap the wires for the led connector i made :dance:

and i'm thinkin of doin some work to the usdm lights instead :biggthumpup:

Hmm.... I'm confused here...
You don't see any picture or do you want to see something else?

There are no resistors taped in the wiring, only the ones soldered on the pcb.

Okay :)

The tape shielding is where the 2 grounds come together, 1 from the bulbs and the other of the pcb.

cools. lookin forward to doin some wiring to make these work with the usdm harness tomorrow nite! :)

I still don't understand how te USDM harness is any different cause it's not. I took mine out if the box they came in and plugged them in, fastened the nuts and that's it. They are direct plug and play swap and I can't understand why they would not have had the plug already on. Sorry dog, I just don't get why you can't just plug yours in *cornfused*  To me this sounds like something so simple being made way more complicated than it is. I think it took me total of 10 minutes to change out both lights.

You know the USD" tails are also JDM tails right? They are Cedric later model tails (early Y34 Ced/Glo has the same tails).

the main connector plugs in directly to the connector on the lights. thats all you did. my lights didnt have the lil harness that is ON the lights already....which have a diff connector for the led board. 
 
either way, i'll have em on and working by tonite. :)

Ohhhhhhhh ok I got it now, I'm a lil slow haha. Why they didn't have the connector though?

The lights were missing the bulb harness so im gonna make em work with my factory ones.

I saw you want a wiring harness for the LED lights?
Maybe I can get them, I can ask my contact in Japan for you if you want that.

the tails look great and the painted lower trim makes a huge difference, especially on a white car, it looks lower now lol. props!

yes i do. was too dark for me to get a good pic with my phone. lol will post one up tonite of what i did tho.

you see where i tapped into the original tail/stop lamp wires and made my own connector with small terminals (got em from work lol) and got them spaced and held together to have a perfect fit with some gel epoxy haha. AND the turn signal sockets are too small to fit and lock into the gloria lights.....so i just have some tape holding them in for now lol ghetto....but they work :giggity:
