TCS Light and Slip came on, Y33 help please

I just changed my spark plugs and o2 sensors. Everything went smooth, car ran fine when I drove it, but after about 15 miles, the car started shaking and as if the car was struggling to go. And when I turned off the car and turned it back on these lights came on.

Any idea of what went wrong? I am kind of afraid to drive the car.

I think someone said it could be misfiring cuz there were some oil in the whole where I put the spark plugs. I have to change the valve cover gasket. But i don't understand why the lights came on.

the tube seals would have to be leaking terribly fast for a misfire.....and it wasnt like that before you did the spark plugs? what plugs did you use? hopefully ngk platinum. did you tighten them to spec? is the engine light on? if so, get it scanned and lmk what code you have stored.

yeah the check engline light is on, it was on before because of the O2 sensors, which i replaced the same time as the plugs. and yes the plugs are ngk platinum. and it was not misfiring before the change of sparks. when i changed the spark plugs the tube had some oil in it, and i tried to clean it, i guess i didnt clean it enough. so i might take the plugs back out and then clean it more and see if that would fix the problem. is it safe to drive it misfiring like that?

only if you have no other option, i guess. if its misfiring due to no spark that means fuel is still dumping causing a rich condition which can, in turn, destroy your cats. see if you can pinpoint which cylinder(s) are misfiring by just unplugging coil connectors. but get the codes scanned.

maybe a bad coil. I'd check the engine code for any more stored codes... might show misfire and would reveal which cylinder. I've read some people who have changed plugs and had coils go out afterwards but not sure how soon they went. If you are changing coils I suggest changing all of them but I think I remember it costing like 600-800

I'm gonna try and take out the plugs and cleaning them. If that doesn't work, then it could be a bad coil.

Y33's are known to throw all those lights when 1 little thing goes wrong becaus eof the way everything is integrated. Mine all came on once because I got a piece of an ABS sensor that had nothing wrong and they all went away about 5 minutes later and haven't been on since. Oftn times it is something very simple. Easiest way is to check all your codes first.

Im gonna say coil packs.

Check all coilpacks are seated in well. Check harness connections.

The shuddering and vibration is a misfire. I know CONSULT will take less than minute to find your problem lol.

on the g/m/fx the codes come on from throttle body/cam/crank sensor failure. and obviously if there is a wheel sensor issue or other ABS/TCS related component...you will have those lights too. lol

it was the coils. One of the harness wasn't all the way in. And another had oil in the coil pack from when I didn't clean the oil off the socket before I used it on the spark plug. Running well.

Hmm, interesting. I only get those lights when there is too much camber and not enough traction lol
