Stance Wars

What is Stance Wars? And I mean, really. The other day the topic was brought up with much ado laughter. How do you judge such a thing? With all the hella poke, hella flush, hella whatever the f*ck. How is it a war? Does Stance coilovers have anything to do with it? Was it the chicken, or the egg? 

It's (stance) has been thrown sooo loosely lately, and I am trying to find the real value of it. Could be a waste of time as I think it is as I write this, but I want opinions. It use to be "hella clean" I never understood it other than the fact, well the car was/is looking freshly detailed. So naturally it was hella clean.

Secondly what happens there? Whats the war all about? I found a blog taken of a "stance war" It was just a bunch of hooligans making a big deal of which seemingly was a big deal about nothing. Just a bunch of cars going in and out of a drive way. But scoring it.. how do you judge on a car that goes in and out of a drive way? Is this show queen trailer trophy trash showing its functionality? Which seems to be a static only sport, cause any one with air ( not in their brain) would just drive off, or in. It just seems to be one big hypster party. And the invite attire, if you are ever even invited to one (which underground parking garage ones are on a pre judged basis) is not a black tie event. If you do not have skinny jeans flannel shirt and RayBans anything short of wiz kalifa you not with it man...

Honestly, I rather see kids driving slow and scraping then kids trying to race each other in public roads and endangering other drivers......like how it was during the fast and furious/drifting phase.  For as long as you live, there will always be a trend that you don't get and you think is stupid, but if it doesn't hurt anybody or affect you in any way, then it's probably best to just ignore it.

As long as they don't bother you personally or rag on your car, let them do their thing.  I'm all for people putting in work to get a few mm's lower like in Japan.


We had a lowest driveable award at Black 2 and a lowest static.  For the lowest driveable, we factored in the bottom of the door, front/rear rake, and bumper heights.  Competing in that class was optional and the spectators loved it.  It originated from the mini-trucker car shows but figured it made sense since to throw it in our show due to the scene we are in.  We plan to do it again at Black 3.
