Q to thoose with Estima headlights and Air Bag suspensions..
Hey there fellow Previa owners,
To those that have the estima headlights, did you modify your previa bumper / headlight body filler? The thing that goes between the grill / headlights and bumper? Or did you just get the original estima one? If you did modify yours were you able to bend it or did you just cut and fill? Worth the effort of modifying yours or just getting the original.
As for Air bag suspensions can anyone tell me how firm it can be set while low? I need a firm suspension for loading building materails and just want to be sure airbags will be ok for it. If not I may just go with a custom stiff coilover suspension as its looking like the cheaper and more practical way to go at the moment.
Also, does anyone know the factory spring rates off hand for the previa?
if not no worries I'll just google it when i have some spare time.
If you guys have any experience your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. thanks - Bryan

It's not worth to modify the bumper filler for the estima headlights, just get the original one.
if you're not putting a body kit, just go with coilovers instead of airbags if you plan on loading building materials.

The thing is I do plan on getting a body kit which is why I want a firm suspension. I know i can just raise it up / increase the air but what I was wondering is how much load can these airbags hold and how does the firmness of the ride compare to coilovers? I've driven a factory airbagged ls430 but have no experience with aftermarket air.

Don't bother going air if you are going to load it up with all that material. As for the lower trim, might have one in stock (used i think).

I was checking out the ksport coilovers but no load specs available. Ill try and get load specs from a few places but it looks like coils will be the way to go as bags probably wont hold up too long.
Please pm me on the filler panel if you find it. Thanks.

i dont agree... u can compensate for the extra weight with extra PSI. You may want to consult w/ Zack at UAS.

the tail would be in the air to compensate for the increased pressure in the rear.

Not all bags are created equal. You're answer is a generalization.

i'm not trying to argue, but if he runs short bags, he's going to lose lift. and if he, as most people who are looking into air suspension are, looking for lift to maneuver around obstacles, then he might as well run coilovers imo.
