G50 adjustable suspension rods
Has anyone ever used them? And how much noise do they make, if any?
here's an example of what I'm talking about

The first pic is of the rear suspension, the second pic is of adjustable caster rods for the front (or front caster rods).
I cant tell you about the caster rods, but i do have adjustable camber arms and toe links, and about to splash out on 'forward links' (rear traction rods)
They make absolutely no additional noise that i can hear, in fact using them fixed a 'creak' i had in my rear suspension since i had the car. I have heard the ball joints (rose joints?) can go bad after a while on the cheaper ones, and that would cause knocking noises - but mine are still fine.
Might just have been a sales tactic that the guy tried on me though, trying to get me to upgrade to $300 rose joints, when the camber arms only cost $120!! haha

How does the car ride? The removal of rubber for bearings will transfer more vibration. Is it notable

I cant tell any difference. Mind you, I first put them on when i had 16" wheels with 55 series tyres, and stock springs/shocks - maybe the tyres absorbed the vibrations. Since i am now riding on coilovers and 18" wheels with very stretched tyres i notice lots of extra 'road feel' LOL

I have used a S14 Upper control arm and a S13 toe arm (both adjustable) to get my toe straight as well as the -5 degrees of camber needed to fit my rims

Do you guys have any recommendations on brands? I've been talking to a lot of drift guys lately and cant seem to get a straight answer. The only thing I've been told consistently is to make sure to get the ones that have teflon links.

ive used lots of different adj rod end arms on g50. they dont make noise unless the unit itself is crap, or the bushings don't fit right.
cant tell if the arm itself made ride worse, since ALL the sus was changed, air, or coilover replacement and running very small stretched tire probably contributed most to decreasing ride quality [from stock]. keep in mind going from a 60 or 70 series tire and stock sus to a coilover/airbag/can and stretched low profile tire pretty much throws ride quality out the window, in comparison to stock.
my personal taste caused that i was unable to use any of the aftermarket arms i could find, since they are designed with idea of correcting negative camber, when i wanted to increase it. in order to get around 15 degrees in back custom rucas needed to be made.
also, most g50 have hicas. no need for adjustable unit since the rods are threaded. there is enough to correct your toe.
front arm is just to release tension. you will be fine if you dont change it. especially if your goal is to ruin stock geometry to fit crazy wheels versus building a performance ride.

dont forget if you want to match the rear styling/fit with the front there are a few tricks that will need to be done up there too.
there is an adjustable upper "arm" that will give you a lot of camber. do not get the shortened to static length ones from nismo or whoever. adj is the best.
and since you will be able to tuck the lip of your rear wheel in back [even with a coilover] you might as well go the extra mile to modify the front. play with clearances with the car off the ground. you will see where it binds. eliminate the interference and enjoy an additional 1" of lowering to equally tuck the front and rear wheels.
where's mah g50 luv? holla.

I'll be looking into that because the front is where the most trouble comes.
