Yea, the coilovers are all the way down... now after those pics were taken. I just snapped those before becuase i wasn't thinking...

Anyway, I had already thought about tossing the helper spring in the rear, which is easy enough to do... but I was a little more concerned about the front. Either chop the spring or buy some swift springs.. i dunno... I'll think about it some more.

Helper springs are about 25mm fully compressed. . and ditch the locking collars if you got em all the way down anyways.. Its worth about 10mm. . those together you gained about an extra inch and a half of lowering. .

What are you talking about? Preload isn't an issue.

I'm not very concerned about the ride. Granted I'd like it to be comfortable, but I'd rather have it lower and have a slightly harsher ride than 5ft off the ground and ride like stock. If I was interested in a stock ride quality I would have left it stock.

dz are flat and dh are convex. Dh gives you more lip for each corresponding size. Center cap is different too.

i said more enjoyable ride height not ride comfort.
in the suspension shot picture it looked like you had the 2nd shorter and softer spring still installed on the coilover. which is the preload spring. i just simply stated if that was what i was seeing if you removed it... the car would be lower.
i took the preload off my aragostas after i maxed out the drop. and it turned out very nicely.

maybe.. But the ride is SUPRISINGLY nice especially for the height. My rooamte rode in it for the first time a few days ago and couldn't believe it rode as well as it did.

Never cared too much about ride anyway, more worried about blowing the struts than anything else.. that is if I go lower, and have to droop the spring.. we'll see I'm getting the exhaust taken care of first, then spacers, then lower. In that order... i think. :-)

Hey Chris, I just wanted to stop in and say the car looks AWESOME. I know people over here don't very much associate D2 with these VIP setups, but perhaps now they will. Thanks for your business and if you need anything further please let me know.

PS - I know you guys are not the most fond of that "other" Lexus site that starts with "Club", but I posted your car over there and its getting a lot of love man. You would be surprised what people like when its properly executed. (I used to hear the same aversion to chrome wheels, until properly executing and demonstrating how clean it could be)
