DB Drive 12" subs

What do yall think about these?

depends on what sub..I personally don't care for db drive, but if you get their top of the line sub then it should hit really nice.

Idk exactly which model mine are but i know they are rated at 1800watts a piece and are 12's. I got them from my bro and he used a 4000watt amp to power them and i wouldnt even ride in his car they hit soo hard!

anything will hit with enough power behind it, not everything will sound good doing it. of course you're talking max ratings, not rms, which should raise your first red flag. 9 times out of 10 if the box/product has the max rating in huge attention grabbing numbers on it it's garbage. db drive is typical flea market/low end gear.

Go with JL u wont be dissapointed, currently i have their preloaded 8 in the ls, and it hits harder than my bros 2 12" pioneer in his 300, just sayin you get what you pay for.

lol. you don't get what you pay for with jl, that's for sure. not saying it's not good mainstream equipment but for less money you can get more performance from the lesser known specialty brands.

right now i'm using a jl 8w1 in a sealed box and it hits clean and loud enough for my tastes. sound quality > loudness anyday of the week.

Like who? Im thinking of running a kenwood double din, down the road some focal door speakers and not sure about thw amp or subs yet!

when talking headunits the mainstream companies are the way to go unless you wanna cash out on a mcintosch, denon, nakamichi, etc. the flip side is they are pure sq hu and lack a lot of modern features.

for speakers you have companies like rainbow, hertz, dyn,  etc. that have entry level offerings better than the mainstream brand's top lines.

for amps: tru, audison, brax, sinfoni, etc. they'll seem high but compared to authorized mainstream prices (not ebay, online) they're not that bad.
