Flush Y33's build

Whats up guys, my name is Brandon, I'm 22, I do demolition for a living and live in a little town an hour east of Dallas. I've been on here for a few months and picked up my 97 q45 about a month or so ago and i figured it was time to make a build thread. I have a 97 Q45 with expresso pearl paint that i named Vanessa, i got her for $1500 so it has some dings here and there and paint isn't perfect but overall a good body to start with, the interior is decent it has all working windows and sunroof with no leaks. As for the engine it has 157,000 miles and needs some maintenance work to be done such as replacing the belts, starter, spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, battery, and an oil change so about $500 in parts, not too bad. Here's a few pics when i first got her. Already know what i want her to look like in the end just gonna take a few years to get there but thats the joy in the journey, and i've already ordered all the maintenance parts minus the starter and some JDM rain guards so should be a good start.

Well i was gonna pick up a set of bc coils but a good deal came up on some of my favorite wheels so i applied for a $1500 loan at my bank and i should get it if all goes well. But the wheels are veilside racing wheels, the specs are 18x10+4 18x11.5-24 with good rear tires for $1900 shipped. Here's a pic of them if all goes well with the bank today then i should b buying them tomorrow.

Its official ill b buying the veilside wheels either tomorrow or friday, cant wait to get them!!! :D

The Veilside wheels will be here wednesday, but might b trading them for a set of work bersaglios that are even wider! What yall think?

I finally got the veilside wheels wednesday and did a test fit that night and gave them a deep clean after that. Here's a couple pics of the fitment at stock height tho. I should b slammed on coils by the end of october, and have full suspension arms by the end of the year. =D

Yeah im not too worried about fitting em, ive got a nissan! :D And the specs are 18x10+4 & 18x11.5-24, might need spacers for that weakness in the front! lolz

Well updates are coming faster than expected on the Q, Vanessa! Ive gotten all the engine maintenance done minus needing a new alternator and pigtail for it which i already have the pigtail. I just ordered my bc coils from OG last week, -80mm dampers and 16/14k spring rates! Im super stoked, hopefully I get them in like 3 more weeks! ^_^ Now i only need to register my car, get rear tires and rear camber arms and done!! So only like $750 to go and she'll be sittin pretty!

Got my bc coils in this week from OG, great vendor! Really excited to put em on, hopefully tomorrow! They are 16/14k with -80mm dampers, should sit perfect!

What questions do you have? There's a few of us that are pretty familiar with y33 suspension. I've done the s14 conversion so I might be able to help if you're going that route.

Well, I'm trying NOT to go S13/S14. Chicago has what is called a "Drift Tax" so if its any part involving an S chassis, expect to pay double of anywhere else. I'm planning on scooping up some Q45 made coils, but I also want aggressive camber. I mainly wanted to know if any stateside companies make adjustable LCAs etc for the Q45 or if I have to go S chassis to obtain that.

There's a set of 30mm extended flca's on yahoo japan. I think battle version sells weld on Heim joint kits. Your best bet would probably just taking your stock lca's to a machine shop and having them extended.

Finally finished my coil install, I still need to lower the front a little more, also did a test fit with the new rear wheels I'm hoping to get the tires put on tomorrow! :D

Been a while since I updated, but I got my alternator situation fixed, fenders rolled, height dialed in and I should be ordering my last bit of maintenance parts this coming weekend the 8 new coil packs and driver side speed sensor. Also got the title of the car in my name which was a grueling process to say the least but $1100 and a few months later she is officially mine. Pretty much I have most of my parts sitting at the house just havent had time to install, such as wheels,  kit, and camber arms. Im hoping to have her debut by the end of summer I hope.

Finally got o'le dirty girl rollin and out of the garage! Still need the correct speed sensor and raise the front for cat clearance!

More parts have been ordered, kbreak sun shade, engine mount spacers, triple jdm headlights, grand touring grill, power steering pump and a few stickers! Gonna get it all put on and get an alignment and finally take my car to its first show, slammed society! Super stoked gonna roll out with my homies, should b a day to remember!!
