91 LS 400 (UCF10)...two wheels up for grabs.
Alright folks, my project is getting much closer to completion and I've got a huge dilemma before me. Rims.
Keep in mind my LS4 is being painted an onyx black this weekend including installation of a used junction proudce kit I caught a while back. I'm currently going for the more moderately flushed look (for now). Given these facts I have two rims from two different sellers. With the money issue aside I would like HONEST opinions from you all on what would be the better grab.
USED set of Stich Precious Dish (set of 4 rims/4 tires):
18x8 all around +35mm offset

I'm sure the scuff's can be resurfaced.
NEW set of ADR's (set of 4 rims w/o tires):
19x8.5 all around +35mm offset
I've seen both 18's and 19's on the UCF10 and to me they both look good. These are currently my only two options given the fact that I have a meet/show right around the corner. I know it's not the best of options but which of the two would be the better grab?
Much Thanks- (arigatou) in advance.

honestly, you want a recommendation...
DO NOT GET EITHER OF THOSE.
Fitment won't be great, wheels aren't that great... how much are you looking to spend. You can do MUCH better than those.

There are a lot of DH-like wheels - Euroline DH, SSR Vienna Dish, Enkei Ribeas, Blest, Precious...but Blest and Precious are 1pc wheels while the others are 2 piece wheels, and I think, forged too.
So, I would say no to both wheel ideas.
Also, about the set with tires - I have learned that shipping with tires adds a lot to the price, you're better off buying tires for them when they get here.

the question was, from the two options provided, what would be the better of the two to go with?
it's obvious I can do better but I need something now. I can sell and buy again later.

Don't waste your money, both of those will look like complete ass on your car.
- honest opinion.

I'd say the first one. The other looks more like a sport wheel to me. But again, I think you should look somewhere else to see if there's somethink better.

how can you possibly think of putting an ADR wheel on your car? that's horrible.

Your handle alludes to something junction produce related... you're spending more money than a lot of other people already by painting your whole car... yet you're going to cheap out on the wheels. WAIT A MINUTE! Is it safe to assume the bodykit and paint were going to be the FIRST mods? What ever happened to stance and wheel fitment first? Good stance and wheel fitment with stock body blows away bodykit with doo dong stance and doo dong wheels/fitment. Is the car going to look like a honda with a bodykit and paint job, but rolling on stock or crap wheels? What happened to priorities? You're rich... get good wheels now and be happy forever, vs. get crap wheels to go with new exterior now and be sad and ridiculed for a while...

Stich Precious are *very* cheap&nasty wheels from Japan. The brand new price is around $400/seton Yahoo I believe. You might as well go to your local tire shop and buy some cheap dub chrome wheels. They are old and scratched to boot, just the thing to go with your brand new shiny paint!
Don’t buy crap wheels just because they are “from Japan”. Your average cheapie 1-piece chinese-made wheels will be available in better quality, widths, and offsets than those wheels (most generic wheels are +35-40 and 8-9.5 in width) – and for around the same price!

do it right the first time.
patience is a virtue.
good thing comes to those who wait.
pick one of the above phrases, but stay away from either wheel. just wait and spend your money on something better.

poor excuse. I need summer tires as I have only winter tires so I am in a similar situation of urgency. However, I am still not going to settle for crap that is going to be a pain in the ass to resell and still lose money on.
Slow down, look more carefully, take your time.
At first i was freaking out because I couldn't find anything suitable but, after some more careful searching I found what I wanted.
Just be patient and don't do something foolish while rushing into purchases.

Alright guys. I appreciate all of the constructive criticism! It has really helped me in my research on getting some new wheels and yes, I know, patience is a virtue. That's why it's taken me so long to come as far as I have and since I'm so close to achieving what I've always wanted I'm starting to lose patience with the project. :(
With the above two rims now set aside my seller has one last option for me that will cost $2,200 shipped:
Junction Produce Scara's 19x9.5front/19x10.5rear (with tires):
Is this it guys? Will this top it off or should I still wait? Please let me know! Give me a break
Remember, this is a 1991 Lexus LS 400 (UCF10)...visualize it in your heads. ooooooooooooo

junction produce scaras are a 5 star wheel... rarely can you go wrong with that. assuming the offset is right, i don't see how you can go wrong with an ls400 with a junction produce kit and and junction produce wheels... well, i suppose you could get the ride height wrong, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

The wheel is 100X better than the other 2 no doubt.........what happen to the one on the bottom left? Did they decide to go 4X4? I wonder how much you are going to be looking at to fix that.

+29 and +24 offsets front/rear.

I made note of the dent in the bottom left and the seller said that it is a "flaw" in the picture. hmmmmmmmmmmmm...this wheel hunt is turning out a lot harder than I expected. You can't seem to run across decent folks nowadays.

One thing to think about is that they are quite wide. Low offsets can be catered for by pulling the fender/camber etc, but if the wheel is touching the inner fender well its gonna be tough.
Would be a good idea to get confirmation from some of the UCF10 guys that this size will fit without too much modification...
