LUXURY ABSTRACT - Still no wheels after 4 months !

Very unfortunate that it had to come down to this but I got no response after several calls, text messages, PMs and facebook messages. Hoping that I get a response this way.

I ordered a set of Luxury Abstract wheels in July, 2012 and till today have not received any wheels. Payment for the wheels have been made in full, half upfront and half after 30 days. Agi had told me that the wheels would only take about 5-7 weeks. Initially I would get a response to any questions about the wheels and why it is taking so long and now it is to a point that even after multiple attempts to contact him I have not gotten a response in the past month. He has offered up extra finishes etc on the wheels and a set of side pillars because of the delay but a month with no response is not acceptable.

I realize that he is a moderator here and can delete this post. But I will keep posting this in various forums and if that doesn't help resolve this issue it will have to be reported to the authorities.

I love his designs and it is very sad that it has come to this but I think I have been more than patient through this ordeal.

I know it sucks as a buyer to be left in the dark, as i know from experience. If you are not aware about Hurricane Sandy that it hit really hard on the Mid Atlantic coast. The hardest hit was upon Jersey and New York. From what I heard and saw by my fellow Liberty members most of New York that is below sea level has been flooded for weeks. Agi's home / office was in the middle of the destruction. If anyone has been watching the news would know that New York has turned to survival mode. Waiting for hours for gas, looting and stealing food with no power. I'm sure the guys in New York can chime in about their experience. Thousands of residents in New York including Agi is trying to salvage, recover and rebuilt their home's.

I'm sure Agi will do the best he can, despite his situation to keep his company alive and the customer happy.

He has been, although I haven't gotten him on the phone once since I've paid for the wheels.

I understand completely, I was stuck in Queens for 3 days because of Sandy, and I know the extent of damages that Sandy has caused around Agi's house because I have friends who live close to his place in Staten Island. Regardless:

1) Wheels are not made in NY.
2) Sandy would not have been a factor if they were done according to the time frame stated or even double the time frame stated.
3) If you have time to post replies, pics etc on your facebook page you should definitely have time to reply to the any one of the multiple messages that I have sent.

Thanks man and yeah its not Agi's style but this situation has been festering way before Sandy hit. Aidan informed me of other unforeseen issues that they have had to deal with and I can understand that these situations do come up but communication to me is key. A month of no response is just too long of a time period to just shrug off. But all is well that ends well.

Overpriced compared to say, VIP Modular? LOL

Yes, that hurricane definitely had an effect on your situation.

And not that it makes any difference, but if you order from Work, Weds, etc. you will be told 6-8 weeks but more likely will take 2x longer. At least in my experiences, even with my own business I often under-estimate how long things will take to arrive. Not intentionally though, it's always more optimistic on my behalf then it ends up taking longer than expected.

we ordered some iforged for my bosses vette at the end of october and were told 6 -8 weeks. here we are almost 11 weeks and the eta pushed back another 3 weeks. "all the parts are here, they just need to be assembled." unfortunately, its just the nature of the beast, even with larger manufacturers.

It is crazy that it does take that long though. The wheel game can be well into another style by the time you get your wheels. Which brings me to why people become wheel jockys when it comes to modding in japan. Unless they (and assuming they do) have a wheel sponsor

You're in good hands. I know it doesn't put wheels on your car, but at least rest assured that you won't walk away empty handed. Sometimes it's hard to recover from a bad situation even if you have the best intentions. Trust me.

Turn around time for super star wheels, weds etc is 12 weeks and I've gotten wheels prior to that estimated date. However, wheels do take time and waiting 3 to 4 months is normal. It's been almost 7 months now though. On the upside LA is in touch with me and Agi and Aiden have explained what happened, so I'm more relaxed about it. Hopefully should have some wheels soon.

I'm far from a wheel jockey, there were a handful of wheels that I really liked and LA was one of them. With my situation I guess it was just bad luck or bad timing, don't see others who have ordered wheels from them complaining about it.

That's what it seems like. I'm a little more relaxed about it now that they are in contact with me. Should have them soon, the excitement of new wheels has kinda died though. I'm sure that will change once I have them in hand and on the car.
