Must be hard to get the papers for this, I know when I brought my S13 (and S13s were available in the States) from Okinawa- it was a world of hurt and plethora of hoops to get it registered and such. Loved the RHD! Many oohs and ahhs... Hehe. Bumpitty Bump for RHD!!! Hehe. GLWS! Cheers!

For someone getting their first RHD car and not knowing what to do, yep it's probably a huge headache and hard to get it done.
But I have owned many RHD cars and I know the drill, perfected it and have it nailed down pretty well now.
Now it's really easy, just a waiting game because we all know how slow the DMV is.

Actually, the DMV was easy breezey. What took so long and the waiting game was with the DOT and EPA with additional time taken by the RI to conform the car to all federal safety standards. It was not much, just the bumper supports, windscreen and the seat belts and a few other minor stuff, not like the skyline- so many things you got to change. Phew...  You do go through the federal agencies, don't you? Because just going to the (state) DMV alone is not (federal) legal. I mean you are an RI, right? Or you do go through an RI, don't you?

It's all legit, but state legal is all you need. When's the last time NHTSA, FBI or Federal Police pulled you over?
I have owned MANY JDM cars for more than 10 years, never had any problems.
If NHTSA, FBI, ICE or anyone is going to come after anyone, they will come after ME with my laundry list of JDM cars before you having only one.. :)

Only the people that do illegal shit get their cars impounded - That is 100% fact.
I don't care what they say if they say their shit is legit, if it was legit they would still have their car.
I've been in this scene for a long time I have years of experience and seen it all.

If you want to get a car to sell try bringing in a 4 door Skyline or better yet a Crown. Although this is a nice car,  similar looking cars stateside are available. If you get a Crown or a 4 door Skyline, you can't buy those here. I'm sure those would definitely sell quicker... Just my two cents, a twin turbo Aristo is still nice and you'll sell it before too long bro. GLWS

Crown would be nice, but they are too expensive.
People think TT aristo is too expensive, not gonna like cost of Crown.

For the sake of our members I'm going to point out that while you might be able to get away with a state registration, these cars are ultimately still not legal.

You are right, They are not Federal legal, at the same time they are not "illegal".
State legal has never been a problem, and owning these cars is not a crime.
As long as you have insurance and pay your title sales tax + yearly tag/registration fee - uncle sam is happy.

JDM cars are best described as "grey market" cars.
Can they get seized?  Sure, same as any other car in America if you do something illegal.

I do not condone any illegal activity, and would not do anything to put anyone at risk.
I personally own and drive JDM cars and have nothing to hide.
If someone buys the car and feels something is not right, I will be more than happy to give refund.

↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑ Buyers please be aware that these vehicles do not come with a title and even if you pay extra he will not give you a title, if you still dont beleive after reading the link above you can check many other forums including zilvia which he is on the scammers/beware thread! If you want a strictly track/off road card then this is for you. But if you want to actually drive one of these cars on the road even just state legal you will not be able to!!!

If he has nothing to hide ask him why he owes at least three people i know of either titles to cars purchased from him or $1500/3000 for titles he said he could deliver and has not delivered titles or refunded the money

Ok, I think I'm going to step in here. 

These cars are being imported ILLEGALLY. Sure, you can get away with State Titles sometimes, but it doesn't make it LEGAL. Recently in VA a '96 Supra was SEIZED from the OWNER not the importer, the importer is now in FEDERAL PRISON. It is a FEDERAL CRIME to import these cars, OR OWN THEM. 

I have imported quite a few LEGAL cars, I know the laws. If you are willing to be so forth coming how are you getting them into the US? I'm willing to be you wont say, however if so would you mind posting the Customs Relases? I can show you what it's supposed to look like if you don't know. I have copies from all the legal cars I've imported. 

I would hate to see a forum member here spend 20k on a nice cars like an Aristo only to have it taken by ICE once you get caught illegally importing cars. It's the same as illegally importing drugs, the government looks at it the same. 

I have no problem with you selling a RHD car, hell I've owned a Soarer and S15 (Although I DID NOT import these). But claiming them to be legal is fucked up, THEY ARE NOT.

It's kinda fucked up, but it's also very straight forward. Unless he has a letter of conformity from Toyota (impossible), or imported as race cars/show cars (time limit is strict at 2 years, then they have to be crushed or exported and still completely illegal to title or drive on the street) these have been imported illegally no two ways about it. However, the latter can only be done by a RI, which the OP is not. 

If he wasn't straight up lying about them being legal and people not having to worry about them being taken I would have kept my mouth shut, because i could care less. However, if you are spending the kind of money he is asking you should be aware of what you are getting into.

Yeah that's true, my biggest scare in in this is that if one would buy one of his cars is that not only couldn't one register it but the gov could crush the car and lock the owner up...

Think yall are getting it mixed up! If the car actually came with a title you coukd get it registered in "SOME" states not Legal in all 50 not truly legal at all just a loophole but that's not the case here the Op states he will provide a title and the issue is that he's told other buyers that for $1500 over the price of the car he could provide a title so they other buyers paid him $1500 and months go by and no title and when confronted he says o I got this guy "Bill" who's done my title for years to take care of it and he's not answering so here's bills number take it up with him! This person is selling cars to people under the impression that they are titled cars when they are not! If he was honest and said no titles and sold them for $1-3000 less then there would be no issues
