Y34 Interior Noises
Center console rattle (that little plastic piece in the back of the top compartment), glove box rattle, dashboard vent rattle.
Has anyone remedied these noises or having them? I may have my dealer look over it during my next oil change.

I had 2 of the 3 problems you're having.
Mine had an annoying rattle from the defrost vents, I took them out and wedged some rubber blocks in-between the two sections ------_block_------- if you can imagine the dashed lines are the vents, the blocks are in between. When you pop them out, if you hit your hand on the dash near them, you can figure where the sounds are coming from.
On the center console, I took it out, and tightened all the original screws, some had fallen out, and but they were all there, and they all tightened down just like new so they weren't stripped, I'd say they were all under-torqued from the factory and fall out over time. It's perfect now.
Glove box, no rattles on mine.

Use a semi-soft foam. Those all we use at Volkswagen for rattle concerns.

yeah my dash rattles right between the defrost vents too. gotta stuff some foam in there sometime.

the noise is so damn annoying. sounds like a bolt got loose right in between the vents. can't stand it lol

^it's SO easy to fix the noise. The "rubber blocks" I used are really like semi soft foam rubber, not solid rubber. I couldn't stand the noise, so I fixed it.

It was just a random piece of foam I had laying around, I cut some pieces and stuffed them under the vents, like wedged tight. Just about any sort of dense foam should work.

just to be clear, I stuffed them around the perimeter of the vents, the vents still work like they should.

I noticed the glove box noise a few years back, so I tightened the screws, but to no avail. I later applied 2-3 layers of sticky sided velcro (stacked) to the inner edges on both sides to create a little resistance. Works like a champ!
