would these wheels pass as VIP?

thought they looked really nice... maybe for a euro style look, but would it pass for VIP? i think it would pass depending on its application... just try to pictures it... im gonna get a set for my GF's audi avant..

i dont think so . imo i dont even consider 1 piece wheel VIP , i mean if u aint runnin multi piece wheels with rediculous offsets that goes with the size and width . . . it aint VIP to me . . cus if they are conservative offsets . . looks "kinda" vip . . then it would probly fall in to EXE style . . you can search for the "VIP vs. EXE" thread

They are TSW...that is their first and foremost shortcoming. The style, as said, is maybe only remotely EXE in nature.  They look pretty "DUB" to me.

Personally, [i]TSW[/i] wouldn't pass for anything less than a budget rim.  I wouldn't buy them.

I wouldn't consider that VIP but to each their own, if you like it go for it. "Can't set trends if you follow them".

I'm not feeling them, they remind me of sewer caps.

1 piece wheel or multi-piece....It doesn't matter. What determines a wheel to be VIP? Sure multi-piece wheels look better but there are some 1 piece wheel that look nice as well.
 
As for the TSW wheels, I'm not feeling them as well but I would go with the non-chrome look.

at least TSW makes their own designs.

their quality may be questionable but their designs are at least original. 

their wheels are cheaply priced , 20" will run you about 230-250 bucks.

I would recommend holding out and spending a little more on a decent set of used name brand wheels.  I think that in the long run you will save money just spending the money up front....instead of picking these up to only turn around to want a different set.  That is what I would do.....IMHO.

Couldn't agree more.  People, get what you want, what you feel is cool, what you feel is your style...it's not our car.  I know you might be worried about if we'll think it's cool or not...but time and time again it's the same answers.  Pick up a copy of VIP Car or VIP Style..look through it and SEE what fits the bill.  It's as simple as that.

the centercap really throws me imo.

they look like shit on that jetta, id like to see them on something else though. looks kindof like a modern baby moon.

Reminds me of those wheels the Vee Dub guys use on euro retro Jettas and stuff (I dunno what to call it, but I know what I'm picturing), but too big. I can't say I like it much, because at that size it's 'too much'. Maybe seeing it on something else would prove otherwise, but so far...not a fan.

all i asked if it would pass as VIP... not if you think i should get them or not, or if they would look good on my car. sure they are priced cheaply thats why its for my GF's audi, its for that euro look. im not gonna spend $3000 on rims or her car so she can curb/dent them. if these threads are getting so old, why reply back? 

now that i think about it, it would kinda fall under EXE...

I say is does depend on the application. . BUT those rims could Definately look dope on certain cars and in certain applications..  VIP or not. Who cares, I like em..If you like em get em. . But NO fuckin way would I run TSW on the centercaps.. Id just get different centers made for for the centercaps. . Most product advertising companies can do that.

I would never buy my gf something like rims cause she doesnt care about stuff like that.. shes happy to take my old wheels, but she cares more about her purse whatever its called..

In all honesty, if a dude wants to buy his girl some rims then let him do his thing. Don't flame him for it. I wouldn't buy my girl wheels unless i was driving her vehicle plus she isn't into that kinda stuff so that's a plus. But yeah if you're asking if they'd pass for vip, i'd have to say no.

The wheels look very typical of the type you'd find people on the internet putting on an VW/Audi, and thus, if you buy them for an Audi... they'd just look like something you'd find on an Audi. Is that good or bad? Who knows....

The TSWs are (bad) copies of late 90s/early 00s Audi A8L OEM wheels

The origial Audi wheels were forged and have a really nice factory polish. A lot of VW guys like to run em because they are kinda rare. Really nice wheels IMO - for older VWs/Audis, that is.

damn is this thread still going on? long story short, her and i were going to go halves on some rims for her car... she knows how to drive but is still a bit careless. but we came across some used A4 rims and picked them up instead, and i sprayed them satin black... hey Administrator, if you could please, you can close this thread now... thanks..
