Cause you know, it definately is smart to leave your 2000$ plus rims on at a bodyshop. So timmy can drive it in and out of the shop and scrape the rims for you. (Even if it was his fault, good luck proving it)

vs 500$ stock wheels. that dont matter.

oh, my wheels are at the body shop for fitment purposes. if they scratch them, theyll pay to refinish them. no big deal, i trust them. :biggthumpup:

That's looking pretty good. Have you seen the other ridge kitted cars running around Houston? I know of at least 4 sc's with that kit around here and probably more. What are the specs on the wheels? Also what tires are you going to run? I guess I better hurry up and do some more work to mine to keep up with everyone.

I used those blueish/whiteish for making my 3rd brake light, and wasn't trilled about the outcome. I thought they would've been brighter but nah.

thanks. it curves downward in that corner. its very awkward. i tried a lot of different configurations but it looks best as it is now i think.

yea theyre very bright red in person. the led color has to match the lens color as white light cannot penetrate a red lens very well as the red lens will filter everything out but red light. they are 300mcd per led.

300. lol. pretty low rating, but with 48 leds each (14,xxx mcd per section) for the parking and brake lights, they light up the whole room, especially since all of the light goes through the lens.

yea, i know my wheels are sunken. theyre not custom offsets and there is a crazy amount of camber, so thats really why. i do have spacers for the time being, but by the end of the year i will have full size tires since i have the room for them - 275/30 up front and a 305 or 315/30 in the rear.

It's coming along real well. I really like the way that it looks like it rolled off the showroom floor like that. I'm especially feeling the way that the front fenders and rear quarter panel line up all symmetrical like. Neither one over powers the other. SC is way fresh. I love those Lowens. You've got PM.

I think the tails make the car look dated.  Everything else looks new but when you look at the "clear" portion of the tails, you think early 90s car.  If there is a clearer option or a way to mod the lenz, I would do that.  Other than that, looks great

i agree. i was iffy about them, but i got them cheap off of yaj and ive never seen anything like them anywhere so i decided to buy them. ill probably sell them soon.

ive had a set of willans 6pt harnesses in blue for a few years now, so they will complement each other nicely.

Oh btw have you made any measurements in the trans tunnel? Knowing that the V16x is noticeably bigger than the A34x and R154... Might need to pull out that 25lbs sledgehammer =)

well, i also need tt rear axles, differential casing, lsd, and some other misc things

i havent made any measurements yet, but im sure some things will need to be modified/cut for it to fit the tunnel.

got rid of the junction produce mufflers and i got an UBER rare phoenix power departure iii catback exhaust - 3" piping, 5" tip. roo was the only known person to have it in the usa and that was back in 2006. the flow of this exhaust is incredible and besides the rarity, it was one of the main reasons i bought it.

i bought the cusco bar for a great price and it was already chromed/powdercoated. i still plan on using the carbing bar, but it will go in when i get my swap.




the non led tail lights are finished. i just have to solder the leads for the led strips and fab the mounting plates for the other set. i think it still looks good without the chrome strip.

you haven't even bought parts for turbo yet. lol IMO engine builds are the most taxin part of a build.

wrd. still havent decided which turbo to go with. just buying odds and ends i know i want/need.

Remember to upgrade the timing belt tensioner to a billet one, I've seen too many old OEM tensioners fracture... Also order the ATI dampened crank pulley to replace the stock pulley that's just waiting to split into two. Within last year there have been at least 4 local Supra guys who I know whose OEM crank pulleys have separated on the road :shrug:

yea i will definitely be buying both. also looking at getting the meziere electric water pump and the powerhouse racing oil pump. i dont want to have any issues later on.

decided to build the head as well - brian crower 264 cams, springs, retainers, shimless buckets, titan h11 headstuds


the motor should be complete in the summer. afterwards im finishing up the interior by redoing the headliner and centers of the recaros. installation of the stereo will follow with custom door panels, fiberglassed rear deck with amp rack, and some basic paneling in the trunk to showcase the 5th wheel.

keeping the whale tail on the steel trunk. only using the bottom lip part of the 2pc abflug spoiler on the carbon trunk. ill probably switch back and forth between hoods and trunks to keep it looking different.

Mmmmm....I miss the days with the 2JZ.  Easiest motor ever to maintain and work on. (after the pee shooters are removed)
