F unction and Form Type 2 or BC Coilovers for 1993 LS400?

hey guys, its been a while since i posted on here, but i finally have the funds to get some coilovers and wheels for the UCF10.  I can get the F & F Type 2s for a little cheaper than the BCs and wanted to get your opinion on which ones could go lower and any other useful info you guys might have.  I plan on going with 18s and a significant drop also.  I have searched alot but wanted to get a little more input from the experts :)

BC looks a bit better, you can get custom spring rates and the extreme low can go low

I'm with Dranom, I would do BC extreme low with Swift Springs if you can afford the extra. I personally wouldn't get rates lower than 18k/16k if you plan to ride on 18s and be relatively low.

bc, if for no other reason than build quality and customization options. I haven't dealt with f&f at all so I can't really speak on em.

i've seen both and FF is a bit more heavy since they use steel bodies instead of aluminum alloy. other than that i feel they perform the same with stock springs. BC has the option to get stiffer springs made by swift and can be re-valved for them. FF has the option to get stiffer springs made by eibach (not a lot of people know this) but i am unsure if they can re-valve to match.

i personally like BC better, which is why i went with them. the only benefit i see with FF is that they are local here in socal and can be serviced quicker.

can the function and form type 2s go just as low as the BCs?  im going to be on 18s  18x9 up front and 18x10 rear.

that will probably depend on if ff will allow you to customize damper length.

I can vouch for F2, I am running the photo type F2 coils that just recently release. I havent really try BC, but i was on megan LP coils before I got the F2. Here are some pix on the comparison between LPs vs F2. And i believe in this pix the coils where half or maybe at max low. I forgot sorry.

This next pix, I am on 18s and when we adjust these coils, they went so low that if you didnt cut out your hole for the UCA then you would be sitting on them. I had mine cut and when we max the coils out, they kept on going but my UCA stop it even though my holes where cut out. Thats how low it went.

Yes the spring rates are 14/10 but im still seening if they can get a stiffer spring rate. And yes, as stated above they do use eibach spring. And they are local here in socal so any repair or customer service is a phone call away.

Just confirmed the LS400 coils can take up to 14K springs front and rear from function. LMK If you guys need more info on them. Thanks.
