Finaly no more 4x4 action

Well after much struggle with one of the steering knuckles the suspension is in minus one ABS sensor which did not want to leave the old suspension...so now I have to get a new one  :-[ Anyway, these are somewhat dark, I'll take more pics in a little bit.

Nice, are you thinking about getting some *better* fitting wheels to work with those coilovers?

Re: Finaly no more 4x4 action

Yes definately some bigger, wider, lower offset wheels ;) As soon as my school tuition is paid off, I can start saving/looking for some wheels.

Here are some daytime pics:

Nah I'm not from Hawaii, I just didn't want to blur out the plates, so these things are photoshopped.

To be honest, those wheels with the drop give the car a good look. Real meaty looking. I would keep it like that.

Re: Finaly no more 4x4 action

The car does look good, but even now these wheels have roughly a 20mm spacer and they are still not flush with the fender...I need like a 2" spacer to make these wheels look good on the car.

Re: Finaly no more 4x4 action

The set was used...and located here in the states. One of the camber plates is bent, but I have managed to make it work properly. Oh and I paid $700 shipped.

Overall I'm not too happy with the setup...I expected to gain at least a little bit of performance out of this suspension, but now the car handles like shit. It's too bouncy when going through corners making the car very unstable. I never had that problem with the stock suspension.

I don't know maybe FLT-A2s will be better, but I would not recommend the A1's for this car.

Re: Finaly no more 4x4 action

Hmmm. from the way things sound your coilovers might be blown. Coilovers should not ride the way you have described it. Your description sounds like you got sold some blown JIC coilovers. >:( I would take one coilover off and test it to see if its still doing its job. Thats just my .02. :buck2:

Yep the bolt that held the brake caliper to the shock assembley fell out, and the caliper was holding on by the second bolt. After 2 hours of searching we (me and Nikolay) couldn't find anything. Today I got one from Tacoma Screw...even infiniti dealer didn't have one in stock.

So now I have my new speed sensor installed, the suspension/brake is fixed and I will be taking it for a spin later today.

That thought have crossed my mind...I hope that's not the case. I'll do some tests on this as well. The car drives fine on the street, it's just uneven corners that cause the unbalance.
