1999 Q45 Flashing Airbag Light

I searched the forums and cannot find a thread. Like the title says, the airbag light blinks. It has been doing this since I purchased the car. Doesn't bother me a bit, but who does it bother? The state. I am trying to get my inspection (Northern, Va Area) and I need to find a way to disconnect it. I know this is a common issue with these cars. My main problem is, I don't have the "hookup" guy to pass me. Any of you guys have someone that will pass me, awesome. Know how to get it from flashing, even better. Thanks guys.

have you checked to see what the code is for?

Go to the dealer man, SRS stuff is really touchy and finicky.

Possibly the previous owner unplugged the airbags? 

My idiot ass was running wires for my amp and disconnected the airbag thinking it was the connector for the light for the passenger foot well and my light kept flashing. I'm lucky the airbag didn't deploy. I was able to reset it following some procedure posted up at Nicoclub. Something like having the car on but not start, and then pressing the door switch(that controls the interior light) a bunch of times. I believe this is it right here :

P.S make sure you do it to the driver's side. I kept doing it on the passenger side because I read it wrong and it didn't work.

Word! It accually worked! When I turned the car on the light is on then turns off after a second or two. Thanks for the info!

Sweet!! No problem, glad it worked.

Sounds like it's all good, mine is on for a couple of seconds after I start it then it shuts off.
