Ultm8mind's AimGain LS430 UL Build *Super Star Customs Content Inside*
What's up everyone? I think I may finally have something worth posting! Well, I have owned my LS for over three years, which spanned over a deployment to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. I purchased the LS because I had dreams of going VIP, which I quickly realized costs more than I thought. On an Army budget with three kids, kind of tough, haha. So, I bought my rims and a DataSystems Controller and realized the rims were too wide after test fitting them and the DataSystems Controller lowering at 55mph...ouch.
So, I took the rims off and they sat for almost two years. After this deployment which I finished in December my wife let me buy a bodykit, Waijai was selling an AimGain kit which I really wanted and I finally talked my wife into it. So, I got the kit, then returned home from Afghanistan and my LS is an Ultra Luxury and the air decided to go on me, needed a sensor and pretty much all the shocks.
So, I was in contact with AirLift, who I truly wanted to do business with and they offered me a partial sponsorship, but they never came through it was always one thing or another. Pretty sad, they finally just stopped answering my calls and emails after we had discussed a price and everything it was always, this or that is "out of stock" or "back ordered." I knew I wanted the AirLift though and hopefully I do not kick myself in the ass for going with them after their sub-standard at best customer relations and support.
So, I was at school and need the air to get this car done. I had already dropped the car off to Super Star Customs in Atlanta, Ga. I had heard plenty about them and I knew Bucky was the guy I needed to get my car done and done quality and quickly. Dropped off the car to him, with the kit hanging out the window, haha. I also had the air setup sent directly to him so he could install it also. I still want to go lower but I have to get new camber bolts in the front, they're currently "stuck," which kinda sucks.
Well, without further adieux onto the pics (crappy but you get the idea)...Enjoy!
When I test fit the rims:

Ritzy, yes the Honda is mine too.
OG, I wanted it because the budget I was on and what I could get for my money. It's overall a good kit and I needed something I wouldn't have to wait weeks or months for.
AKings, yes Bucky does some good work. He's a cool guy too, that made the overall experience so much better and I was glad I was able to work with him.
Thanks gents for the words.

word. just wondering since you seemed so set on it. i think they should have used shorter damper, at least for the front. seems like they wanted to make sure it could get to stock height, but they could have used the coilover adjustability for that. <5" from stock is still kinda high. i do like their new valve though, integrated pressure senders is nice. wish the display looked better though. all in all they improved a lot on the v1 auto pilot imo. no height sensors should make for a clean, easy install. i may have to check it out.

I like it, and the guy that put it in said he may have to move to it also, lol. As for height this is about half way down, I hit tire/rim due to my front camber bolts being "stuc," which is something I think I gotta take some WD40 to real soon. It's a simple setup though, nothing spectacular, Bucky hid the controller in the coin tray which is nice, and unique...

gotcha. once you get that suspension dialed in you'll be on your way.

the air lift struts will go very low on his car. I set them at the same length as stock for his long journey home and it still only lacked about 3" to putting the bumper on the ground.

3" is a long way considering it's a kit w/ reasonable height to it, but as long as there's more adjustment it's all good. i saw it pretty much lay out another kit in someone else's thread.

that was with the struts pretty much all the way up. it will lay the kit all the way around if wanted.

Yes, I haven't lowered it past about 45psi all the way around really, so even now there's a lot of bag left. Yeah though, you're right, I do need the suspension dialed in before it can realistically go any lower, lol, sits on the tires now at 45psi.

Okay, so headed out to ATL today to meet up with the Infamous Society crew to go to SouthrnFresh 4, had a blast. Rained a little but that didn't stop the "real" car guys from BS'ing about our cars....here are some of the pics I took, once the pros post theirs I'll post them as I find them.
