Infiniti m37s build.but slow build

So far.all led 6k interior lights.
Stillen catback.5000k fogs and headlights
K&n drop in filters.
Undecided on which intake.stillen or takena..
BC coilovers
With some problems.

control arm issue

hey I also just installed bc coilovers and mine aren't as low as yours but they are really low.and I still have problems with the control arm hitting when I hit a bad bump.i have 10k up front and 8k rear.dampening is set at 15 in front and 12 in rear.when setting dampening in the number form ,do you start from the beginning of soft and turn clockwise to get number higher??? I know its a dumb question but I have always had jic vip tar coilovers and not bc coilovers.jic have the numbers and to me they are better for sure.hope someone can help me or if you can.i ont want to ride any higher.check my garage for pics please10352600_10201748878716143_7323016569383853234_n.jpg

and I also made sure to set the preload and all 4 coilovers.the front is my only problem hitting control arm.can this cause a lot of harm to my car or other parts???ive had multiple dropped cars and no problems but with bc.is the spring rate the problem???

lol. garbage cause it squeaks? funny, i've never had that issue on any bc. i'd check the install before i blamed the product.

*edit - as for the rest of your questions. hard and soft should be labeled on the adjuster. the upper control arm hitting is because the car is lowered, a stiffer spring rate would have helped, although i didn't even realize it was an issue on this chassis. it's more common on lexus.

I had it installed at a shop where I was there the entire time since I know them for over 14 years.we set all the preloads at 3mm using the bigger wrench that comes with the bc coilovers.checked the top strut nuts by the dampening knob and tightened them.made sure top and bottom perches were tight after preferred height.I drove for maybe a week and squeaking started....
Today I took off entire bc coilovers and inspected all my tierods.all tieroads where great.everything on coilover was tight.so I gave it a little more preload then 3mm an reinstalled it and the squeaking is now slightly there but still there.im only made cuz there brand new.I never had this problem with jic.so im sure jic is better.if u search the internet this is a known problem with bc coilovers.ill probly end up getting a different spring rate for the front.ive drove jic for over 10,000 miles on my last car and not one tiny sound ever.mayb it was a bad batch.and other m37 with bc coilovers installed are lower then mine and they claim no control arm hits.which is hard to believe.anyway since bc is the only coilover out there for my car im stuck with them and if I cant fix the squeak ill just send it back and get a new one.thanks for your insight og..I only said they are garbage cuz there brand new and 1000.they shouldn't squeak.youtube bc coilovers and there over 20 videos with sqeaking bc coilovers

i'm very familiar with both products, as i deal/have dealt both. it may be a common problem amongst end users but the reality is most people don't know that much about it. two things i would check: did you reinstall the oem isolator on the top of the shock? i usually don't but it can cause noise because it's metal on metal. whats more likely is that the spring is twisting under compression. you can install thrust sheets, which allow the spring to rotate under compression. jic included them, but you're $2500 coils vs. $1000 coils. when/if you upgrade your springs don't forget that the rule of thumb is +2k max unless you revalve.

i didn't install the oem insulators.those are the orangey things still stuck on the top stock front shocks.like a gasket sort of? should I install them? theres also a black plastic cup thing between the top shock mount before it hits the chassis.i called bc and they told me to spray lithium grease on the bottom bushing attaches to the lower control arm where the big bolt goes threw the bc coilover.its raining bad today so ill try it tomorrow .take wheel off and spray the lower bushing."looks clear plastic to me"and try and spray top of spring.

yeah, the isolator is the orange gasket piece. if you try other things and they don't work it may be worth a shot. not sure what you're referring to as a black cup. antisieze on the lower mount is always a good idea.

sprayed lithium grease on lower bushing and under top where spring hits top perch.worked like a charm.pretty sad that after 1 week of driving you need grease on these 1000 coilovers.bc might as well put a bottle of grease in the box before they ship it...

Looking good!! What brand camber arms did you use? Did you also get an adjustable rear toe arm, or still using the OEM eccentric bolt?
