Newbie y33 build

Hey guys! I figured it's finally time to get this build thread started. There have been a few good updates to my car in the past few days.

Quick run down: 
-98 black/black Q45T
-68k miles at purchase in October 2012, currently 91k. 

Just recently got my BC coilovers after a 10 week long wait involving some complications I won't go into here.

This car originally came from NYC where I purchased it and drove it back to Memphis, so it had a little bit of rust. My coilover install was a nightmare haha. By the end of it, the car got bags, coilovers, rear upper and lower control arms, front outer tie rod ends, new ball joints, and new 3/8" lines. It was a busy 2 days. 

Wheels are Leon Hardiritt Waffes. 19x11/12 negative offsets. 235/35/19 acceleras and 275/30 acceleras. 

Before the coil install, just test fitting wheels:

Cut the hell out of my camber plates:

The coils weren't spun all the way down because i had to drive the car and drop it off with the wheels at the shop where I'm getting my fenders pulled. 

Basically the build is finally getting started. eventual plans assuming funds allow include an aimgain kit, 15% tint all around 35% on the windshield, and t-demand top hats. Hopefully I'll get the top hats in the spring haha.

Picking the car up this afternoon! Pretty excited since I haven't had it for a daily in a few months. Updates are coming soon!

Friends surprised me with a few shots of my car! Apparently they took it out last night and sneaked a few shots before I picked the car up. It's just the beginning but I'm so happy with how it's turning out.

Sorry updates took so long. Waiting on enough cash to get rear lower control arms. Just got new rear tires because my other ones are stretched to sketchy amounts and I don't feel like driving on them anymore. haha. More pics to come when more camber comes.

lol i'd be bugging to drive on that.

Yeah I don't like it lol. Hopefully my LCAs come quick after I order them Friday. I already have the new tires but they won't fit without more camber

Decided to get rid of the fishbowl before getting control arms. Privacy is better than camber haha. 15% on the windows/back and 35% on the whole windshield. Love how much it changed the look of the car.

the rear camber situation is still garbage but arms will be coming asap. Today was my first meet with the car and it was pretty well received. Looking forward to the rest of the build!

When you slotted the BC plates how much camber did you get out of it?

@4DGS not sure exarch how much more than stock. I never bolted them up stock. Haha. Right now I have around 6 up front after the cuts and the plates are my only camber adjustment up there.

That's perfect, I'll need about -5 for this set up just haven't had a chance to pop em out and slot em.

Yeah you'll be good. It didn't take too long. I accidentally broke a few bits when doing the small slots lol.

That's what I broke. Haha. The bit itself didnt break but the neck did.

Sorry y'all. Build has been on hold. The other day my CEL came on and it's from rubbing through my wiring harnesses in my fenders haha. So this week hopefully I can get them extended up into the fenders. I'm sick at the moment so the work will be slow.

Sorry about the slowness again.. haha. finally got new rear tires and dialed some camber in. Shots are terrible but we've got a show this weekend so I'm sure someone will takea  few good ones.

I need to remove one of the collars on my coilovers up front so I can get my fitment like the rear. It's just not good enough right now.

This is serious...great fitment! What tint is that?

Thanks! Tint is some Llumar film. 15% on all the windows and 35% windshield.

A few changes coming soon. This is just the first one, along with a GT grille, but I'm still deciding on a few other things. [emoji16] sorry for the very slow progress.

It shouldn't bother it too much but if it does I'll switch lenses later.

So, uh, long story short, my headlights were never completed and combined with a different situation, I ended up keeping my stock headlights but ending up with an Aimgain kit, so yay! 
I just finished getting it on like 30 minutes ago, so the car is filthy. We've got a big show here this weekend and the car is getting detailed tomorrow and Friday. I believe I'm doing a few photoshoots this weekend, so I'll make sure to upload good pictures when they're taken!

Thanks. ☺️ decided to keep the car and go back static instead of selling it. Extreme Drop BCs with 34k swift springs are slowly being installed in my spare time. Should be done by the end of the week assuming nothing major goes wrong. ��
