15" tire strecth?

I know its a long shot. coz all u guys always ask 18" and above
hope someone here can help me

anyway I have 15x7 currently running 195/50/15 and finding it too fat.
wheels offset is +28 which sticks out awee bit, hence the reason stretching it.

any suggestion? been asking 195/45/ but there are so rare!!
anyone got pics of 15 with strecth tyres?

Im no stretching tire expert by any means, but is there even a difference in stretch at all between a 195/50 and a 195/45???  The sidewall is 5% less in on the 45 series but the width is the same.

The 45 series will look more stretched because of the shorter sidewall. Taller the tire the less it looks stretched.

will it even be much of a strech on a 7in wide rim?

that was my other question. even if so it is a minimal one that only the trained eye will notice

as mentioned the 195/45/15 will be a little more "stretched" than the 195/50/15, and afaik, they aren't rare in america...  there are at least two major tire brands offering them in the 45 series.

  if you want a stretched tire on the 7" rim, you will need to buy a smaller tire from another country (assuming you are in the USA).  japan manufacturers very small width tires that will stretch on your 7" wide rim.  go for 165/50/15 or smaller, depending on the amount of stretch you want.

The only problem is that with a tire that small is that you will hardly ever have traction.

Do you drift this car, daily drive it, show it, etc?

These can all make very big differences in choices on what to do.

I used to own a 240sx and I own an ae86 so I know about stretching.  195/45 and 195/50 do not look much differently stretched, the sidewall difference is smaller with the 5% difference since the width is smaller.  A 5% difference would be much more noticeable with, say, a 225/45 and and a 225/50.

Depending on what you are looking to do, you may want to look into wider wheels with a different offset with a different tire set-up.  Let me know what you're looking to do and I'll try to give you my best suggestion accordingly.

I've also got 15x7 rims and i didnt know what tire size I should get to get that stretched look.but now I know.right now on my hachi I'm running 13x8 rims with 175/70 tires and get one mean stretch.

I don't really like the idea of stretching tires on very narrow wheels. Unless of course you got a lowrider. :dance: Thats like a 155 on a 7" rim.

thanks for the input guys, wider rims hard to get to fit a honda fit spec. money limited :) already have a 18x7.5 which this one sits flush inside the guards.

car is daily driven. im in australia will hunt down for the 45 series for sure

Okay so it's daily driven.  My best suggestion then...would be to say dont go too far with a stretch...not on a honda, BUT if anything on a 15x7" wheel look into Falken Ziex-512's.  The best size they have I would say to stretch is a 185/65 or their 195/50.  I'll see if I can find some other sizes for other tires I know get stretched a lot. Sumitomo HTR 200 also come in 195/50/15.

i got 195/45's on 8"..stretch is nice, but on a 7" rim thats gonna be hard, you probably would have to buy some kind of european tires b/c i've seen they make small sizes in some magazines i read before.  even if you get 195/45's on your 15x7 it wont stretch

I was searching through google.  Like another guy said, there are smaller sizes out there, but in different countries.  Probably not DOT legal, but uhhh yeah (who cares usually except for inspection services).

I stick with what i got now. im not doing this for the fancy of it, its just happen the wheels have +28ET and sticks out at the front a little. as soon as the suspension sorted and setled prolly next week. will show u guys better pics :)

if u are located in socal, i could get u guys 195.45.15 I could get that size under $100 a piece, i got it for $75 apiece. i ll post pix if u guys are interested, "Socal" only tho, im doing 15x8 with 195/45/15 this week. i ll post pix.
