1 week ago:

After not recieving the 4th wheel after waiting a couple days just incase, I put in a trace through Fedex.

3 days ago:

Was informed by Fedex the last wheel is LOST.

How the hell do you lose a wheel? Completely gone. Shady delivery guys why only take one and not all 4? What the hell am I supposed to do w/ these huge wheels when I only have 3/4?

Contact in Japan is being very helpful and doing what he can, but seriously, what is the likely outcome here? I'm out a wheel and get reimbursed for a fraction of what it's going to cost to find another comparable wheel or pair at least...

And on top of all that, was forced to take a leave of absence from work because of some neural siezure thing I've had a couple times. Passed out cold, no recollection of what happened. 2 weeks out of work, 2 weeks of doctors test and no good answer what the hell is wrong with me or what is happening to me. I was on anxiety/depression meds through highschool, thought I was over it all, but this shits just bringing it back.

So, 3 months no wheels, 2 weeks out of work and in the ER, and f'ing city of Austin has lost my electric payment and are trying to charge me my $200 deposit to recitify it or something. Bleh, it's just one of those days when it pours.

that sucks, maybe robert can help you find another rim too, gotta contact everyone you know in japan to keep a lookout for you! did they ship it like that? or in boxes?

did they diagnose you with epilepsy? or is this a stress induced thing? either way, that sucks. you may get away with medication, a pill a day isn't so bad now is it?

i'd rather have that, then diag me and tell me i can't drive anyore.

keep ur head up, things will get better.

apparently it's nothing to do with diet (I'm an underwieght vegetarian) and don't get everything I'm supposed to w/out supplements that I take. Could be stress related, but it's happened a few times over the course of a year. It's non-epileptic according to my neurologist and cardiologist but they're still going over some tests and I may have to fly/drive to houston to see some siezure specialist.

prior to the first occurance a year ago, no childhood issues though.

as far as the wheels... I'm really just kinda 'meh' about the whole situation and am considering scrapping this LS project in exchange for something my life needs more of, order and going and buying a new car w/ a warranty, cheap monthly payments and less hassles than a 8 year old luxury car.

That's what I take from what Fedex has told me... I'm still hoping that the other one magically appears... but it's been missing for over 2 weeks... seriously, where's it going to come from if they haven't found it allready...?

BTW, I still appreciate the contact! I don't blame JZS at all for this, but it still sucks to be on the receiving end.

JZS Int. has a good reputation with me as I have been dealing with them for some time. Things happen sometimes like this and I know it sucks. What is FedEx telling you? If insurance was paid for they are liable for lost or damaged goods arent they???

if/when your final wheel is admittedly lost by the freight company, you could do an array of things:

1) if the overall condition of the other three is superb, just get a new one from weds, and use them all as-is

2) if the condition (face) of the other three is superb and the lips are average, then get a new one from weds, and polish ALL the lips.

3) use the two you have a pair of. order another pair new from weds, and use the third as a spare

4) get lucky on yahoo auctions and find a perfect match for the one you are missing

5) sell the matching pair to some drifters, and throw the third one in as a "gift"

6) chalk up the whole situation as an experience, and get another set... DONT use the same person/method

you only lost one wheel, ive lost a whole set, and the "proxy..." yes rinkya, did not care to reimburse me the money. they ran off laughing.

you are alive, and well... wheels are just wheels. dont let them get you down.

good luck.

Well theres the problem! You need to get a good steak,... or burger, up in you! :) j/k

No..., that sucks, though. Its stressful enough buying wheels, alone. And now you have to deal with a missing one. I dont know what Id do.

I had a rim lost during shipping before. Once they declare it lost you can bet you will never see it again. In my case, the seller ended up having to purchase a brand new matching rim for me. I mean, what can you do? Unfortunately it was underinsured sothe seller had to pay some out of pocket expense cutting into his profits. Generally when I ship anything I make sure I have enough insurance to cover a brand new replacement if needed.

Anyway, good luck.

OK Fedex is responsible 100 percent. They like to test their employees by giving them "salts" which are packages that are loaded on the wrong truck to see if the loader is paying attention to the zipcodes. Now if the loader does not pay attention and scans the package in and it goes to Virginia instead of Florida then the package is sidetracked for quite sometime. Now in some cased it goes to Virginia and they don't have a Florida truck it sits in their hold department. Now what happens in the hold is dependent on the security of that particular facility. Now that salt package may never be scanned again and it may sit in the corner for weeks. Fedex may call it lost and find it later and return it to the sender like 4 months down the road. Now what you need to do is call ther escalations department and have them issue a trace. That way they can findout who had the package last according to the scans. If they determine that it was lost in the facility its almost impossible to steal a package that big out of that facility. If it was lost during a delivery attempt then the drive is to blame. Be persistent they will find it and get it to you. They don't want to admit they purposely caused your package to get sent somewhere else . so they will act like it was lost perioud
