i think the validity of the things you've shared may be inaccurate because:
- you use a translator that doesn't provide an accurate/understanding translation, or you failed to comprehend its output
- you started your reply to my post by calling me a liar, and in tone, demanded authority while expressing your contrary opinion as fact
- you did not understand the terms of the auction, but created assumptions based on one personal experience as founded fact
- you still cannot understand the correlation between, starting bid price, reserve, and "buy-it-now" or end auction price, in the auction listed by the first poster of this thread
- you continue to argue against the correct information, i originally provided, and confirmed by others
- you have yet to contribute any useful information to this thread or the original poster

it's a safe bet that if you see the "wording" i've circled in yellow in my previous post, the auction has a reserve.
if the reserve is not stated in the description, and you would like to find out how much it is set at, but cannot communicate in japanese or use a proxy to bid/buy, you could do it yourself.
first define how much you are willing to spend on the item, basically committing in advance to buy, and i will explain why in a bit.
so start bidding on the item. WHEN the reserve is met, your username will be displayed as the highest bidder, and the yellow circled text will change... the characters in red will no longer appear.
if you continue bidding and you see the numbers of bids increasing but your username is not displayed as the highest bidder, you have not reached the reserve amount set by the seller.
once you reach your personal set limit, you are OUT! stop bidding, and you will not be accountable for buying, since the reserve is not met.
now... the reason why you need to set in your mind a personal limit, is because in the example where the seller sets the start price at Y100, the buy-it-now price at Y100,000, and the UNDISCLOSED reserve at Y50,000... once your probing bids hit Y50,000, you will become the highest bidder. if no one else bids by the time the auction closes, you are the winner, and thus committed to buy. so this explanation and warning is to someone who thinks you can just enter bids without the commitment to buy. this should be common sense for any experienced online auction buyer.
in the end.
if you plan on buying goods from yahoo japan auctions, and are a non-japanese individual, do as much research as possible. once you think you have it figured out, do some tests, buy some ultra-cheap stuff, test the process end-to-end, to avoid any unseen complications.
there's a lot to buying online, let alone in another country.
again, do your homework, and make buying your JDM VIP goods a pleasurable experience.
