favorite tire??

what are your guys favorite tires to go with?? my rims are going to be 19x9 and 19x10.5..thinking of going 215/35 up front and 245/30 on the rears...want something that stretches nicely but at the same time something that will last for a while, ride good, and give a quiet ride

Fk452 cant beat the price, quality, everything. For my 19" fabos and my 20's I both have 452's and there great!

I have some 245/30/19 nankangs if interested , harder tire so it wears
slower than most. I have 225/30/19 stretched on 9.5 with this same type of tire and it looks great! am running 215/30/19 on 8.5 with decent stretch. ns2's if your wondering what tread pattern.

Kumho Ecsta SPT $149 per tire.  245/35/19  [B]tire wear 320[/B]

i like those kumhos, i got those in 195/45's on my 15x8 rim and its nice..evan you seen it and the price is hard to beat.  you should check the tread wear rating and other specs on the other tires you want to get, they might be a really soft compound leading to even quicker tire wear.  320 is a good #.

Falken is all I have ever had on any of my rides.

I used to have yokohamas on my old wheels and they were so quiet I only heard them when it rained, now im running pirelli Z's, I swear I could drive though a halfpipe upside down, crazy grip.  but Im barely going to get 20k out of them :sad:

I Have expiremented with a few different tires so I will post my expireneces that I have had with different brands.  (I know, I drive alot)

Good year (forgot the model but it was a summer tire)
 245/35/19 on a 10.5' wide wheel. driven up front
  - round looking stretch, lasted about 10,000 miles until the sidewalls burst on the highway.  Pretty quiet tire

Toyo T1R
 225/35/18 on a 10' wide wheel.  Driven in the rear of a FWD car.
  - Beautiful stretch in a \ shape.driven hard for about 8,000 miles until I got rid of the wheels.

Toyo Proxes4
 225/35/20 on a 8.5 wide wheel driven up front on a RWD
  - lasted about 15,000 miles.  Minor stretch so I cant really judge it.

Toyo Proxes4
 245/35/20 on a 10' wide wheel driven in the rear of a RWD
  - Nice looking stretch in a \ shape. One lasted about 8000 miles until the sidewall burst on the highway.  The other tire lasted about 12000 miles

Nankang
 265/30/19 on a 11' wide wheel (OMG =x) driven in the rear on a RWD
  -Beautiful stretch, I never seen one like it.  I had one blow after a day, the complete sidewall burst and I almost crashed into a wall.  Noisy tire.  Bottom line, I should of stayed with a 275/30/19 for the 11' wheel.

Dunlop
 245/35/19 on a 10.5' wide wheel driven up front of a RWD
  -Looked atleast a size smaller then a goodyear tire I had of the same size.  The stretch is alittle rounded.  15,000 miles strong.  Quiet tire

Dunlop 
 275/30/19 on a 11' wide wheel driven in the rear on a RWD
  -Beautiful stretch, the barrel is exposed.  15000 miles.  I lost the bead on one of them on the highway which resulted in a flat and the tire had to be remounted.  I have no complaints with this tire.  


I do alot of driving and had lots of flats.  2 this week and a slow leak.  Thats the price you pay I guess.  I wish I had pics to post but they are on my damaged laptop.  I hope this post kind of helped someone.

Most people wouldnt dare running after market wheels with normal tires on the BQE in NY let alone stretched tires.  I do alot of driving in the city and in brooklyn which is pot hole hell.  Tires can only take so much but im always prepared for the worst, thats why I keep two spares.  I just put on a set of Vetus Hancook 104's size 235/35/19 on my 10.5's and they stretch nicely and are holding up well so far.

A couple of these will get rid of the bandwagoners in no time.  Its frustrating but rewarding when you can achieve the look you want and know that no one would dare go that extreme on the stretch (In NYC)
