Accident in San Diego. 240 got smashed

Just minor injuries, but man, this guys car got straight smashed on by a truck!

Wow, that looks like a real bad wreck, glad the people weren't hurt too badly.

One of our fellow members and my big brother C4 president (Lancer) was invold in a 5 car accident earlier today! It was after work and I was about 5 min. away from home when Marcus called me and said come quick I just got in a accident. Fear of what I may see, I rushed over to see my big brother as fast as I could. When I got to the scene, the whole left side of the street was closed and there was traffic everywhere. I eventually made it close to where I could park and run to my best friends aid.
Marcus was driving in his lancer when a blue mustang was riding close behind him. Marcus fear of being hit from behind or getting into it with the mustang decides to pull over to the turning lane to get out the way. In front of Marcus was the 240 and two cars stopped. The 240 didn't see the 2 cars stopped in time and slams on his brakes. Marcus reacts and then slams on his brakes. Sliding, Marcus hits the 240 and he goes over the divider into oncoming traffic. Marcus then slams under a SUV. The 240 gets hit by a oncoming truck which first begins to break but then decides for some reason to hit the 240. The kid in the 240 crawls out of the car while the car catchs on fire. The guy in the truck who after hitting the 240 ends up on the other side of the street and the driver grabs a fire extiguisher to help put the fire out. The kid from the 240 gets rushed to the hospital with a few injuries. THis also happens on one of the most busiest streets in San Diego at the most busiest time of the day. It was pretty bad. Everybody and there momma came out to watch and everybody driving by was looking and taking pics with there camera phones. Also thenews came out and had helicopters flying everywhere. Marcus is ok, just suffering from minor injuries. His car is totaled but at least now he can concentrate on is Y33! Marcus will have better pics up when he's able to do so. He will also be able to clear up the story better if needed.

Glad to hear that there was nothing serious. The thing with some trucks is that it takes them longer to break .

driving on mira mesa blvd is horrible during rush hour. Glad to hear that everyone is ok. that looks crazy

I'm trying to figure out who the kid is, cause it may be a customer of mine.  That sucks!!!

He is really fortunate that he didn't die.

Glad everything is okay.  As for Marcus, let him know that he could always ignore cars that wanna start trouble with him.  He doesn't have to race.  No need to deviate from your route cause some jack ass wants to race you.

Trippy. I knew exactly where that was from the first pic I saw. I've driven by there 1000 times, shopped at that hollywood video, eaten at that McD's nearby, and gone to the post office a block away.

Like most have said glad nobody was seriously injured that looked really really bad this pic says it all.

The truck driver was a jerk! >:( He tried to fight me in the middle of the street when I tried to ask him what happend,
The truck driver was speeding and started to break but hen decided to let off the brakes and smash into the 240!

It was the 240s fault for not paying attention to stop in time but it was Marcus's fault for not stopping in time!
Although it may look like it Marcus wasn't racing even though that's what it may look like or what everybody may be saying. I do agree though if some one is on your ass just let em, they'll eventually get tired of riding your slow butt and go around you!

my first love of cars was my mitsubishi lancer was the one that got wrecked too. because some jerk in a mustang wanted to be close to my bumper and since last year with my car i got run off the freeway, i am still a bit paranoid about it. so he got about an inch to my bumper and i merged to the left as well as this 240 in front of me. the traffic in that lane was a dead stop and the 240 saw that first. he slammed his brakes and hit the island to avoid the suv in front of me and I bumped him into the other lane of traffic and slammed into the suv infront of me that he was trying to avoid. then there was this utility truck who slammed on his brakes about 100 ft away and let them go as he ran over the kid's 240. he had plenty of time and distance to slow down and his 240 got on fire and we pulled him aside and moments after he was taken in the ambulance, i felt bad pains and dizzyness. now they call it an 1180 which i think means street racing :( right racing at 25 mph in traffic? man my car aint even modified except the springs, rims, exhaust and two tone paint lol. according to friends its more mods than a regular. so we will see what they say. as for me i am in extreme amount of pain now but I will get better soon i hope.

By the way, I did slow down and moved over to avoid conferentation with the jerk with the mustang.  posting pics in a bit

and thats that. I am in horrible pain and I pray that the kid in the 240 is ok as well. It just shows you that people indeed dont have to race for there to be an accident in Mira Mesa. No this doesn't mean that I can focus on my y33 more because i might have to go to court, get sued, etc. does anyone in san diego know what code 1180 means?

I hate when pricks gotta cause trouble, I blame the Mustang. He was obviously instigating.

My heart goes out to the owner of this Sil and C4, I had a similar incident with these kids that call them selfs the Lucky 7's riding my ass trying to get me to race. One got ahead of me and was doing about 25 in a 45 and the other was on my ass then when I went to pass they both jumped on it as if trying to force me to race them. Well no one crashed but there was a cop ahead and the punks turned off right before so guess who gets pulled over for reckless driving and speeding...me. Im fighting the ticket of course the cop had no way of telling my speed he just used his IQ and how long it took to catch up to me but I wasnt speeding so that was BS!

On top of it all these kids had the most half assed cars around with nothing but garbge discount crap and gigantic combat wings with wings west stickers and such everywhere...you guys know what I mean.

Again..Im so sorry to hear about this but I am glad a member of VSC is ok.

Sucks when a clean car like that gets trashed. But man is the insurance company going to go nuts when they see how much it will cost to replace the Advan's and S13 front end.
