F50 President front end

I have tried searching all day (intermittently at work) and I am not finding what I am searching for. Maybe I am just searching for the completely wrong thing?

I am trying to find out what parts fit the same or differently between an F50 Q45 and the same year President. I love that big grille and should be picking up the Q45 shortly. I am wondering if it is litterally just the hood and bumper that are different on the cars stock for stock or if the fenders and lights are slightly different between them.

Any info would be appreciated. Links or comments please.

FYI The headlights are not the same. They do not have the amber reflector in them plus the turn signal is a projector that moves left to right when you turn the car. The only thing the same about them is the shape of the housing.

they are cosmetic different, I know that, but there are the same size, but thats what he was asking, so to answer his question "fit the same " you do not have to buy different headlights the u.s. ones will work

you can look at the 2 pics i posted and see the cosmetic differance

Same here, been trying to find a source for a F50 president for a few weeks now. Might have to go directly to Nissan of Japan for this one. If your lucky you can maybe find one in a Japanese junk yard, but I highly doubt it, being as this car is still new, and real expensive.

All I need is the hood & trunk, I'd probably pick up JP bumpers.

I had some friends in Japan check sum junkyards and they were unsuccessful.
Maybe it's because all my Japanese friends are female and the're not into cars

They know, I've told them. But make sure you get the right part #'s as they are different part #'s for each body color. They come painted.

why would you guys want to buy it new from the dealer? get your bodyshop to buy these panels for a discount from asia. it's where a majority of the parts used for repairs in the usa come from anyway.

do the math. would you rather pay $300 for the front bumper skin, that your body shop can include in their next order, or pay for the OE part from nissan for $1200 + shipping from japan at an additional $400, and a commission of at least 15% to the guy "hooking you up?"

if you question the quality of the parts, take a look at the end results your body shop turns out. do the parts purchased from their overseas source look good after the car comes out of the shop?

The problem with that is how gay Nissan Japan is when it comes to getting those parts. (Note I said Nissan Japan, not Nissan USA, that's easy to get parts) You need to have a vin bumber in order to get them..trust me, I know I've gone through this as you know. So it doesn't matter if it's through a body shop or not.

body shops always have a number of catalogs that they can buy parts from. practically any part that is repairable is usually offered. yes, some parts may be harder to find, and out of production, but its worth a shot. it is very common to have parts offered in japan only (like the president panels) listed in these catalogs, but i have talked to body shops that will not resell them to you. maybe for liability reasons. i dont know, i just crossed them off the list and went to the next.

in my experience going through insurance claims, only higher-end/expensive shops will offer OEM parts when doing repairs. and at some, if the insurance claims person doesn't request OEM parts on behalf of the vehicle's owner, they will use non-OEM parts. and at all of the cheaper body shops i've had vehicles repaired at, they discouraged me from using OEM parts in lieu of cost.

i never mentioned this method to you because you never asked. i dont think we've ever talked about you doing a front-end conversion, unless it was you telling me how awesome a kouki front-end conversion would be.

ive tried this for other cars, but never thought about doing it for the q. in my experience, it's always been cheaper to buy used from japan. although note i was buying parts for a g50, NOT f50. sorry guys. maybe the excitement in america has driven prices up in japan, and its much more expensive to get the parts now.

regardless, the more research you do on your own, the better prepared you will be to make an educated decision about purchasing your f50 conversion parts.

good luck gents.
