Previa IRS?

Hello. I'm new to these forums, but not new to VIP. I'm looking for a Previa to start tinkering with, but have a question about the rear suspension that I have not been able to answer myself. I've seen a few JDM Estimas with independent rear suspension swapped from another vehicle. The camber that this allows for is quite insane, and desirable. Anyone know what vehicle the rear end is swapped from? I'm thinking the newer ACR/MCR Estimas. Oh and if this has been discussed I'm sorry. I tried searching and didnt find any previous posts.

I believe there was a Estima available in Japan with IRS from the factory. Shawn, help me out here.

I know I have some links at home showing shops in Japan that swap the rear end from one Estima model to another allowing for IRS.

what i was thinking is maybe the 4wd model has IRS? it scares me buying one if i cant reach wheel gap zen.

Both the 2WD and 4WD versions were available with IRS and with Live Axle rear suspension. Its the '1' at the end of the chassis code that determines the rear sus setup:
TCR10 = Live Axle 2WD
TCR11 = IRS 2WD
TCR20 = Live Axle 4WD
TCR21 = IRS 2WD
 
We got the TCR11 here in Australia too...

You can also buy the IRS from T-selection but don't think it is worth it. I would just try to find it on Yahoo Auction Japan. I know member 'One Ton VIP' was trying to work on something.

Thats the site that I had originally saw, but in the translation it says the rear end is swapped from "german cars". Sorry if I'm not understanding, but is this rear end only available to euro models? Seems if it was easy to come by in Japan, they would'nt be offering this swap service.

As i said in the post above, we also got IRS in Australia.
 
The price in that website is for drive-in live-axle and drive-out IRS (i.e. includes labor). Having a garage is a bit of a luxury in Japan (Well in Tokyo at least), so something like a DIY rear end swap wouldnt be possible, even if it was easy to find the parts...
