really hard to get tires on by yourself, esp with them stiff sidewalls. Not to mention that this is extremely dangerous. That dude is putting well over 100psi in that tire to make the sidewalls flex. If that tire happens to pop, BOOM there goes everything!

repost.

fun video.

to avoid confusion, the tire was not mounted (tire physically installed onto rim) in this sequence.

It doesnt show that, but I have seen it in another video in which they said that the tire has to be inflated over 100psi to get that walls of the tire to felx and stretch out when doing that method. Lots of lube and air.

?

I watched a bunch of other similar videos and the tires were just loosely mounted with no air in them.

Its pretty hard to get 100psi into a tire man. .compressors only pump 120psi MAX, and most shops (including mine) only run like 90psi line pressure. . Most i've needed to get a tire to seat is like 50ish. . if it dont seat at 50-60 it aint gonna. . And the high pressure to seat a bead is not specific to stretched setups. . Its usually just that you dont have enough lube on the wheel/tire . . Esp. if its been sitting AFTER its been mounted and the tirelube is all dried up. .I did this 215/35 on a 10 before and pumped that thing till it wouldn't take no more.. it was like 80psi. . but that tire would just not go big (wide ) enough to fully seat on the rim. . It was like FULLY stretched out already almost fuckin flat, but still had a 3/4inch gap to fully seat. . Just wouldn't go. . AND this wheel had NO Bead retention bump. . .fully flat . . .there was just not enough rubber. . Cant remember the brand. . but usually a 215/35 on a 10 is not a prob.. .
