Hey Kenji I met you at Golden Gardens with Sakae for the Nissan meet. Ya it will be ready for DTP. They just painted the body kit today and painting the car tomorrow. I had to fix all the cracks in the bumper and fenders. It will have the whole Garson crystal collection interior as well. And new Fabulous Profounds. I'll keep you all posted

No, there's air bag with this steering wheel. Airbag wheels are usually quite a bit deeper

How can one import a car from Canada to the US?

Is it easier for the car from Japan to be imported to Canada then to the US?

If I recall somebody posted that car here, that is the widebody GS?

Actually is a wide body Aristo. Originally the company I work at imported this car to here (Canada). and we were going to sell it to a customer in the USA. But turns our The body was not in great shape. the flares where cracked and front bumper was cracked. two of the shocks were blown. Cluster was not working.

We ended up taking it to a body shop and having them fix the fenders and front bumper. and it was better off to repaint the whole car instead of just here and there. Bought a brand new set of coilovers since the previous setup was only lowering spring which caused the fenders to crack and the fact that 2 of the shocks were blown. Had to buy a new cluster. Had to get GS300 headlights because the JDM ones aren't DOT approved. ect ect .So by the time everything that was said and done the price of the markup on top of our cost was not really worth it to the customer. So I took the bullet and decided to buy it out at our cost. The customer ended up buying one of our mechanic's Toyota Soarer with a 1JZ-GTE 5 spd. So i guess all in all it worked out for everybody

But anyways back to your question. Once the car is registered here in Canada and passes all our safety inspection BS its much easier to import than importing a car from Japan directly to USA. I've seen quite a few R34's rolling around USA that have BC VIN numbers. Seems to me like it might be the easiest route. If you're ever in the market lemme know ;)

Nice buy! It's nice to see some VIP cars coming to Canada.

I have an 89 GTR myself but I am trying to sell it. It think you mean you see R32's in the US with BC vin#s? There are some R32s that have made there way into the US.

I woud love to know how they register them, as I would like to sell my R32 GTR to someone in the US. I met one person in Oregon with a cefiro and silvia and he had them still registered and insured in Canada.

It wasnt just your shift knob, another customer and myself ordered the same one:sad: . all my garson stuff too won't make it for the show. My curtains, table, mirror, shifter, ash bottle and steering ring all my stuff couldn't make it in time for the show because they said anything with crystals is special order because they have many color crystals to choose from so they are made to order

not for imported vehicles. Because there used to be alot of shops here that pass cars with out having the proper compliance parts. Many of these companies had their license pulled. Now whenever they pass a car they need to submit photos to Transport Canada and if they think the car does not pass they will come down personally to inspect it. If they find out the inspection facility lied, license may be pulled. So no one wants to risk it anymore.

The rear is where I want it but the offset in the front was a little crazier than I expected. I'm getting the fronts changed up to a little higher offset, once thats done it'll be dropped. But also due to the flares being fiberglass I can only dump it so much.

I just had installed it today. Took about 6 hours to get it in. The wiring was the longest part. Had to cut the hole under the shift a little larger. After a few snips here and and a couple bold there here she is.

Now I just need to make a custom fit cover since the Celsior and Aristo shift plates are completely different sizes. I'll probably install the Garson Glitter shift knob tomorrow

I also installed the Clazzio black leather seat covers last week. I was worried about the fitment before I ordered them but they turned out great. Very tight and snug.

Yes its from the 20 series Celsior. all you need is a wiring diagram and custom bracket to hook up to the linkage and lot of time. I didn't have to use a Celsior gate shifter but any that is a 4spd auto

Ya the coloring on the wires for both cars are different. So when u have the wiring diagram for both u will know which color wires to connect together. As for the bracket it's nothing to elaborate. Anyone doing the install should know how to make one. If you are not experienced I highly suggest you leave it to a rear mechanic. This is no easy task and takes about 6-7 hours to install.

Here's a rolling shot. Definitely need to go lower but I need to camber in my fronts a little more before I can do that. Unfortunately its not that many options for suspension parts on the JZS147 Aristos :(

I ended up selling the car a couple years ago and went a different route. I have a 2GS now but thinking about trading it up for a JZS100 Mark II and go drift/vip style maybe Aimgain or something or maybe wait a few more years and get a JZS180 Crown Athlete and go MP. The Mark II I can import now but the Crown Athlete I gotta wait as there is a 15year import rule.
