DISCUSS....

As discussed on here a number of times, HIN's VIP classes only help fuel the mass confusion and misunderstanding of true VIP tuning and styling.

Yes....this has been brought up at nausea....


The VIP classes have nothing….I repeat, nothing to do with the VIP platforms from Japan.  Nor did HIN/NCCA ever say that it did.  The class is more geared towards VIP styling and/or high end vehicles that really didn’t fit into any of the other classes.  Imagine if they did have a true VIP class (platform and style)….there may be one or two entrants per show…if any!!!  Let’s face it, the true VIP platforms/style cars are a very, very small percentage of the masses.  I’m not sure what there is to discuss…..HIN has a different definition of their VIP class, end of story.  As for confusing the true definition…..I’m not sure how many outside of the “scene” really care about the differences....sad but true.

....and no, I am not defending their definition...just explaining it.....

I saw that listing early yesterday and all I could do was shake my head. They didn't even say "VIPstyled"...they just up and called a non-VIPcar chassis a "VIP" classified ride. lol
 
we should set this straight. we need some folks from VSC to be the VIPcar and VIPstyle judges for HIN.

Yes but y'all have to understand......it was just a coinsidence that HIN decided to have a classification for VIP Auto Fashion as they call it....
 
this was what, 3 years ago already......there not trying to say its the same VIP, it just happen to be coinsidental.......
 
they classify porche,ferrari, acura , lexus,bmw,MB...ect under that....no relation whatso ever...
 
confusing......yes it will be for the Honda guys ect......too bad...

heatwave....????  That would be cool.  I'm not a fan of HIN shows.  I've had my share of those shows in my younger years.  And its not because I didn't win the shows, actually I won everyone I entered for 4 years except 2, its because I don't care for them anymore....

ah yes heatwave...99 degrees...gotta love the texas heat.

i also had a bad expierence with hin not placing me into the vip class my judge had to go back and read the rulebook !!!!!:pat: :pat: :rules: :rules:  they have noo clue

did they change anything from 2006 on VIP Class... they should have VIP wagon class! 
 
What I really  wana see is a [B]VIP style[/B] Scion go up and up with a true VIP platform.. there are alot of scions that I feel would rock that class in points! Like SEANs white XB if it was still around, that would be an awsome show off!

just read the 2006 rule book there is a section in there about VIP... just wonder if theymade any changes.. I wish i could just copy and past it because I cant type for beans! LOL

i know some may think im crazy but i would rather compete with they style im shooting for.. not the name of the car i drive..Its about who has teh most complete car that scores the most points. 
 
I have read the meanings of VIP and VIP style an i know whats going on with booth meanings.
