bold world vs airrunner vs canover

hey guys....new to this forum.  i just picked up a 2007 ls460 (short wheel base).  as you guys might know, the swb does not have the stock air suspension, so datasystems is out of the question.  
 
what kit do you guys think i should get?  bold world, airrunner, canover?  i want ride quality and reliablity. these are the only two factors.  price is not a factor here.

airrunner. they have an application for that car already. its also adjustable like coilovers.

thanks for the reply.  how is the ride quality?  any reliability issues?  should i just order the kit.....or should i be uprgrading any part of the kit?  does the kit come with a remote?  i think i have seen someone with one before.

you can try airrunner.co.jp, but there aint really anything on there. you can contact AFLS430, which he is a vendor on here and an authorized airrunner dealer. he can give you more info. ask for freddy

Damn LS460. That's big dawg stuff. I would definitely suggest Airrunner or Bold World.

bro, not on a LS460. thats a 70+ g's car. dont want to mod the 1000+ struts that they have on there

i have heard good and bad with uas.  are you recommending it or being sarcastic?  should i have included uas as one of the choices?

I would definitely check Air Runner or Bold World. If money ain't an issue, then go with Bold World. Bold World Air Suspension is pretty dominant in Japan and wouldn't you like to be the first person on a LS460 with Bold World?

being the first person on bold world would be nice, if and only it is the best setup i could have.  but what if something does go wrong with kit?  will it be easy to repair quickly?  
 
also, does either airrunner or bold world come with a remote so i can adjust the heights without being in the car?

To answer your question if something goes wrong with Bold world u would have to send it back to japan because they have no support here in the US.  U can take it to any shop but the quality might not be the same and then u wasted more money.  Airrunner has support in  the US which can be fixed if u have any problems quicker then say Bold World.  They both offer upgrades to add a remote to there systems which u can adjust it from the outside. I hope that helps you.  Dont get me wrong there both good kits but peace of mind factor because we dont have the support from Bold world in the US i would go with Airrunner and not because i sell airrunner because i sell Bold world Also but if anything goes bad we have to send it back to japan and then your car will be sitting till its fixed.

you'll be the third person with boldworld in the US :smiley: . but think about what AFLS430 said. it only makes sense.

how reliable is airrunner?  since you are a vendor, i suppose you have ridden in a car with airrunner?  how do you think the ride in a ls460 will be with it?  my stock ride is pretty darn comfortable,

theres been cars with airrunner for 4 years straight with no issues.  Airrunner would be an excellent choice for your luxury car.  Theres also a group buy on the system right now, so its the right time to get it too.

i think he actually has driven the airrunner ls460. but i could be wrong.

If your stock ride is darn comfortable then don't lower it.:shrug:

i have airrunner installed by autofashion and its great, but stock is better.  if you dont want a stock ride go with airrunner.  its the best of all worlds.  the car is lowered, its adjustable ride height in and out of the car, and it rides way better than any other lowered car i have driven.  i own a window tinting shop and have drove thousands of lowered vehicles; maybe hundreds, and airrunner feels way superior.

group buy?  anybody know the details on that?  id like to get in on that....afls430?
 
i think that when i get my wheels, stock height wouldnt look right.  i mean, why does anyone lower their car?  for looks and handling, right?  mostly looks.

Nice cant wait to see this...Most lower their car for looks. It aint like youre going to be drifting an LS460

Airrunner rides like stock and also u have to think of other factors like Wheel size and tire.  If i put it on and you have stock tires it will ride like stock and when u start adding ull notice the difference.  But I have drove the LS460 on airrunner and it rides fine.  No problems with airrunner kit and i think you will like it.

this topic is informative to the newbies like me that are debating on what set up to get. AFLS430 big up big up!

how do i find more info on this group buy?  did the ls460 u rode in have aftermarket wheels?  my wheels wont be in until january or february (not in production yet).  its ok to the airrunner first right?  i dont want any rubbing issues later when i get the wheels.

No problems what so ever on the wheels and fitment or rubbing and yes you can do airrunner before the wheels.

no good things bout canover?

I believe canover is on air cylinders vice air strut bags like Air Runner. Like AFLS430 said, you might run into the same problems like Bold World( if it goes down, you'll have to wait  because you have to send it back to Japan). But I could be wrong about that. I am sure AFLS430 will jump in any minute to clarify things.

Canover has support in the US.  Company out of Fresno rebuilds them.
 
I'd rock Airrunners just for the fact of US support and ride quality over the canover setup....

That would suck to send out your Bold World kit out to japan .. wait a few months while your car sits on jacks .. hear nothing but good about air runner .. but then again Bold World is rare right ?

can you actually drive low with airunner and still have a lot of vehicle control? i am a huge fan of coilovers  and i am very particular about my suspension. i like an aggresive ride. i own tein super sreet, tein flex, and jic vip on my gs and i have sent all three back for a redo

seems like you REALLY aggresive driving. airrunner is not meant for you then. you sound like a drifter or some sort. put it this way, airrunner rides just like stock and i dont know if you like to corner on stock suspension. so that is a big example of how airrunner rides.

You can actually take it to a Parker store to see if they have the parts to rebuild it.  Cyclinders are easy to rebuild.  It looks like a piston inside with rubber gaskets that look like oil rings on a motor piston.  Or u can probably just replace them with like blowjack cyclinders or even the Parker Cylinders because there pretty much the same thing.

I have the easystreet set up and am really getting to love it for the past 2 weeks as i am finding my perfect heights for different roads. It has adjustable dampening to set it stiff or soft  so i can allow the bags to be adjusting the height without compromising the ride.
The best part is it cost me less than $3000 installed as well as coming with a digital controller , water trap and a chrome vair compressor. To get all that from air runner i was looking at over $5000.
Plus they are in Michigan so i can get parts next day with no problem.

Easy Street is a very good company. Too bad they dont have a bolt on kit like AirRunners.  To get there kit youll need to get the universal Struts and will have to do some custom welding to make it fit.  Thats too much work for me.  I like there digital system thou.  Very affordable.  But if something goes wrong with the wiring youll be stuck.  I just think its safer with manual controls.  You got a nice LS.  Is that the lowest itll go for the fronts?  Seems the rear are lower.

No, not a drifter. i jus like to drive my gs 400 like a fool and i like a whole lot of control when i drive:smiley: . thanks a lot for the insight though. i might be interesed in air in the future when i get another project car.

The wiring is basic as it uses an Ethernet cable to connect the display to the ecu, also the valves are simple plug and play harnesses so they are easy to fix also.

I had to bump this thread, since I am in need of some help.
 
Air Runner is $5000. 4-5 yrs without a rebuild. Is that daily use or conservative use?
 
UAS is $3000 with a seperate shock setup included in the price. I want to hear your experience with this company. Since its a newish company compared to Air Runner.
